Like all ClearPath operating environments, OS 2200 Release 14.0 comprises a stack of software products - more than 111 - integrated and tested as a unit. ClearPath clients expressly suggested 67 of the 146 feature updates in the new release.
OS 2200 Release 14.0 delivers significant benefits in three key areas:

ClearPath Dorado 4200 Platforms Include XPC-L3 Integration
The ClearPath Dorado 4200 can now be integrated with the Extended Processing Complex Locking (XPC-L3) enterprise clustering solution. This database record locking innovation allows up to four host systems running OS 2200 to access a shared database concurrently - even down to the same record. It synchronizes database access so records are always accurately updated, simplifying both day-to-day operations and disaster recovery.
The Dorado 4200 systems, which are based on Intel(®) Xeon(®) Family processors, can participate in multi-host clusters with other Intel processor-based Dorado systems or with Dorado systems based on Unisys-developed processor technology.
