Alon Holdings Blue Square Announces Signing of an Agreement With Partner Communications Company for Launching MVNO Services

announced today that further to the MOU which was signed on March 23, 2011 between Alon
Cellular Ltd. controlled by the Company ("Alon Cellular") and Partner Communication
Company Ltd. ("Partner"), as reported by the Company on 24 March, 2011, and in connection
with the Company's plans to enter the cellular communication market by becoming a Mobile
Virtual Network Operator ("MVNO"), Alon Cellular and Partner have entered into an
agreement ("the Agreement"), for launching cellular services in an MVNO model, which will
enable Alon Cellular to offer cellular services to end users. The launch date of such

Qualcomm Announces FCC Approval of Sale of 700 MHz Spectrum Licenses to AT&T
SAN DIEGO, Dec. 23, 2011/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) today announced that the U.S. Federal Communications Commission has approved the sale of its Lower 700 MHz D and E Block (Channel 55 and 56) unpaired U.S. spectrum licenses to AT&T. The sale by Qualcomm to AT&T of the licenses for $1.925 billion was originally announced in December, 2010. The proposed transaction has been pending subject to the satisfaction of the conditions of closing.
In connection with the announcement of the transaction in 2010, AT&T indicated that, as part of its longer term 4G network plan, it intends to deploy this spectrum as supplemental downlink, using carrier aggregation technology. This new technology is designed to deliver substantial capacity gains by enabling unpaired spectrum to be used in conjunction with paired spectrum for 4G services.
Qualcomm is integrating carrier aggregation technology into its chipset roadmap to enable supplemental downlink and intends to market the technology globally. This new technology is expected to create opportunities around the world in regions where unpaired spectrum bands can be made available for wireless operators to use in conjunction with existing paired bands in order to obtain substantial improvements in their mobile broadband networks.

A New Web Site, Tracking Net Price Calculators, Reveals 272 Schools Have Yet to Comply With Oct. 29 Deadline

MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- NetPriceCalculator.info, a new website tracking colleges and universities that meet a federal requirement to place a "net price calculator" on their school websites, today announced that 272 federally funded institutions of higher education have yet to comply with the October 29, 2011 deadline for this important tool for students and parents.
According to founder James A. Boyle, NetPriceCalculator.info was created for students and parents, high school counselors and others who want to find schools' net price calculators quickly and easily. His organization's review of 6,000 college and university websites reports that more than 95% of institutions have a net price calculator on their sites, though some are difficult to find and vary in usability and accuracy.
"Many institutions have net price calculators that exceed minimum requirements and provide useful planning estimates to prospective students and families seeking information about financial aid," said Boyle. "However, three years after the mandate was issued, it is surprising that so many colleges and universities have failed to post a net price calculator; such as University of North Carolina - Pembroke, Southwest Virginia Community College and Troy University in Alabama."
Boyle added: "The college search and selection process is daunting even when money is not a major factor, but in these economic times, cost is critical. A school website without a calculator means students won't be able to learn the expected price of attendance."

LSI Announces Industry's First 28nm Read Channel for Hard Disk Drive Manufacturers
TrueStore RC5100 enables increased capacity, higher yield and lower power consumption for HDD manufacturers
MILPITAS, Calif., Dec. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- LSI Corporation (NYSE: LSI) today announced that it is demonstrating to OEM customers the TrueStore(® )RC5100 read channel for hard disk drives (HDD). The RC5100 is the industry's first 28nm read channel and features a new low-density parity check (LDPC) iterative decoding architecture, which enables HDD manufacturers to achieve increased areal density, higher yield and lower power consumption for HDDs.
A critical piece of technology for increasing the capacity of hard drives, a read channel translates the magnetically encoded information on the hard disk drive to electronic signals that can be understood by the host computer.

The RC5100 is designed to support notebook, desktop and enterprise HDDs. The RC5100 also supports advanced new technologies such as shingled magnetic recording (SMR), a key technology for achieving next-generation areal density points.
