Mayor Bloomberg and AT&T Chairman and CEO Randall Stephenson Launch Free Wi-Fi Service in 20 New York City Parks
AT&T Will Install and Maintain Free Wi-Fi Service in Parks in All Five Boroughs This Summer at No Cost to Taxpayers
NEW YORK, June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and AT&T Chairman and CEO Randall Stephenson today announced a five-year initiative to provide free Wi-Fi service at 26 locations in 20 New York City parks across the five boroughs. Starting today, AT&T Wi-Fi is available free of charge to any users at Battery Bosque in Battery Park, the north-end playground in Joyce Kilmer Park in the Bronx, and around the recreation center at Thomas Jefferson Park in East Harlem, with 23 additional park locations to follow throughout the summer. New Yorkers will be able to stay connected with their laptop computers, smartphones, tablets and other Wi-Fi enabled devices as they enjoy everything City parks, big and small, have to offer. The initiative advances some of the goals of Road Map for the Digital City, the City's comprehensive strategy to make New York the nation's leading digital city. Mayor Bloomberg and Stephenson made the announcement in Thomas Jefferson Park in East Harlem, where they were joined by State Senator Jose M. Serrano, Assembly Member Robert J. Rodriguez, Council Members Fernando Cabrera and Melissa Mark-Viverito and Chief Digital Officer Rachel Sterne.
"In May, we laid out a strategy to make New York City the nation's leading digital city, and AT&T's generous initiative to bring Wi-Fi to 20 City parks will help us get there," said Mayor Bloomberg. "New York City has the greatest network of public parks in the world, and we've invested heavily to expand and enhance them. Now, thanks to the terrific corporate citizenship of AT&T, they will provide an even better experience for New Yorkers and visitors."
"We're pleased to join Mayor Bloomberg and the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation to bring the convenience and benefits of Wi-Fi to many of the city's world-renowned parks," said Stephenson. "AT&T is committed to providing the best network and best broadband experience in New York City."
The 20 parks are:
Bronx: Joyce Kilmer Park, Bronx River Park and Devoe Park
Brooklyn: Brooklyn Bridge Park, Fort Greene Park, Herbert Von King Park, McCarren Park and Prospect Park
Manhattan: Battery Park, Thomas Jefferson Park, Central Park (multiple locations), the High Line, Holcombe Rucker Park, Marcus Garvey Park and Tompkins Square Park
Queens: Astoria Park, Flushing Meadows Corona Park and MacDonald Park
Staten Island: Clove Lake Park and South Beach
Wi-Fi provides fast connection to the internet from portable devices. AT&T Wi-Fi at City parks will be free for all users. From most AT&T smartphones and devices, customers will be able to automatically connect and switch seamlessly between AT&T's Wi-Fi and wireless networks. Virtually all new AT&T smartphones come equipped with Wi-Fi technology, and Wi-Fi use doesn't count toward customers' smartphone data plans.
"The Parks Department is pleased to partner with AT&T to bring free Wi-Fi access to parks in all five boroughs of New York City," said Parks & Recreation Commissioner Adrian Benepe. "Park visitors will now have more options to surf the net while enjoying the great outdoors of New York City's open spaces."
"Today we mark the latest milestone in the City's strategy to expand public Internet access across the five boroughs through a range of innovative partnerships," said Information Technology and Telecommunications Commissioner Carole Post. "By providing a geographically-diverse, sustainable technology solution for New Yorkers - at no cost to them - we're helping keep our parks and public spaces connected in a high-speed age."
"The addition of Wi-Fi to parks across the city, specifically Thomas Jefferson Park, will give people the opportunity to experience internet access that they may otherwise not have had, making things like job searching an easier endeavor for many local residents," State Senator Serrano. "Providing wireless internet free of charge will also give New Yorkers a fresh incentive to spend more time outdoors this summer. I commend Mayor Bloomberg and AT&T for launching a program that will surely be embraced and utilized by New Yorkers citywide."
"AT&T's launching of free of charge internet service to Jefferson Park is a remarkable step in bridging the digital divide in low-income communities," said Assembly Member Rodriguez.
"Access to the internet is no longer a luxury in our society, it has often times become a necessity," said Council Member Cabrera, who chairs the Council Technology Committee. "Internet access is a critical developmental tool for children, families, and community groups--all of whom use our city parks on a regular basis. I'm excited to see AT&T investing in an effort to bring the Internet to many who need it, and I look forward to a day of expanded Wi-Fi coverage for park goers in our City."
"I am proud that this new initiative to expand free Wi-Fi access in our parks is launching here in El Barrio/East Harlem," said Council Member Mark-Viverito. "Free Wi-Fi will provide an opportunity to gain internet access for local residents in my community who might not otherwise be able to afford an internet connection in their homes. I thank the Mayor, Commissioner Benepe and all others involved for working to arrive at this agreement with AT&T."
The AT&T initiative advances some of the goals of Road Map for the Digital City, the comprehensive strategy to make New York the nation's leading digital city that Mayor Bloomberg unveiled in May 2011. The plan seeks to increase New Yorkers access to digital technology by introducing Wi-Fi in more parks and public spaces through private sector partnerships like the new one with AT&T, target high needs individuals through federally funded programs, launch outreach and education efforts to increase broadband Internet adoption, and support more broadband choices citywide.
"Mayor Bloomberg has made it a priority to connect more New Yorkers, in more places, to the information they need," said Rachel Sterne. "We will continue to explore innovative ways to bring Internet access to New Yorkers, and we applaud AT&T on this forward-thinking initiative."
In addition to New York City parks, AT&T offers Wi-Fi hotspots and hotzones across the city. New York City Times Square was the site of the very first AT&T Wi-Fi hotzone, and AT&T has added hotzones near Rockefeller Center, near St. Patrick's Cathedral, along Park Avenue and near Ed Sullivan Theater. AT&T Wi-Fi hotzones supplement mobile broadband coverage in areas with consistently high traffic. AT&T is also providing free Wi-Fi for attendees at this year's HARLEM WEEK Celebrations, held July 31-Aug. 31, in alliance with the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce.
AT&T operates more than 24,000 AT&T Wi-Fi hotspots at restaurants, hotels, bookstores and retailers, including more than 460 hotspot locations in the New York metropolitan area. For more information on AT&T Wi-Fi locations and instructions on how to connect, visit AT&T Wi-Fi Access.

itaas "Brings It All Together" at The Cable Show 2011 - Booth 455
- Bridges Current Technologies to New Digital Video Multi-platform Solutions -
ATLANTA, June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- With changes occurring so quickly for this industry -iPads, smartphones, tablets, game consoles, the connected TV - video Everywhere has become a business necessity not just a business strategy. At this year's Cable Show, itaas will showcase technology solutions and tools that demonstrate how to execute on the business strategy of digital video delivery everywhere through multi-platform applications that leverage current network architectures and technologies.
"For the past 11 years, we have been a part of this ever-changing, diverse industry. Now, more than ever, our customers are faced with fierce competition and the need for innovative services," said Vibha Rustagi, itaas' chief executive officer and president. "Our participation at this year's Cable Show is focused on how itaas can help our customers provide consumers with a connected experience by 'bringing it all together' ... the legacy systems with the new; the current network architecture that is moving to IP-based architectures; and the set-top with web-enabled CE devices."
itaas will demonstrate solutions that enable cable operators and programmers to differentiate product offerings and bring new services to market quickly:
Video Streaming
This application allows consumers to select and view streaming video content delivered by Clearleap's web-based video-on-demand platform, Stream On Demand. The OTT video content can be started on an iPad and then paused and resumed on a Roku box connected to the TV.
Mobile Marketing and Messaging
Interactive applications are also creating revenue opportunities through better consumer experiences such as the itaas-developed EBIF applications from Neustar and iNDEMAND. Neustar's Text Everywhere application demonstrates the ability to send text messages directly to a television. This enhanced messaging capability allows cable operators to offer a service that appeals to the "text generation" of subscribers. Additionally, the iNDEMAND event reminder application provides an easy way to increase pay per view (PPV) event buy rates by leveraging SMS text messaging to a subscriber's cell phone to remind them to buy an event.
Wireless Content Search and Set-top Tuning
Because consumers have access to so much content, they face the dilemma of finding the 'right' content. itaas will show enhanced mobile search capabilities for linear programming and on-demand content, including creative consumer features such as "shake and view" movie selection and playlists. The demonstrations show tablets supporting Android, iOS and HTML5 to tune set-tops that use both EBIF and native platforms.
iLaunch Application Starter Kit
To support the need for applications that can be deployed quickly, itaas has developed the iLaunch program to include a suite of applications and tools that are pre-tested for the EBIF platform. The applications include offerings from itaas, programmers and third-party developers that are tested on EBIF-enabled systems to ensure maximum functionality and standards compliance prior to being selected. Operators can choose from a menu of applications to develop a package that meets their revenue and marketing goals.
Testing and deployment tools that reduce cost and improve network performance
Testing and monitoring are key to the success of any application deployment. itaas will showcase the latest tools and services offered to monitor and improve performance and reliability, including VOD monitoring tools and testing services.
itaas will be showcasing these and other applications to help operators provide cutting edge, revenue-generating solutions.

alfabet Announces Release 7.0 of planningIT for Business IT Management
New features for better collaboration, broader governance and greater insight
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- alfabet AG, a leading provider of strategic IT planning and business IT management solutions, today announced Release 7.0 of planningIT. This major new release demonstrates alfabet's commitment to ensuring IT powers business success by introducing significant new features for better collaboration with business, broader governance over IT delivery and greater insight in entire enterprise landscape planning.
"This milestone release reflects our commitment to providing our customers and partners with innovative planning solutions second to none in value, depth of scope and ease of use," said Erik Masing, CEO and Co-founder of alfabet. "I am delighted by the challenges and ideas we are receiving from our customers and proud of our team's ability to deliver to these requirements in extremely fast turnaround times."
Better collaboration with business
In many organizations, planningIT is fast becoming the central system for IT, organizational and business planning. More and more stakeholders maintain their planning data in the system and use it to collaboratively plan with others. Documents are an important means of collaboration, necessitating:
-- a flexible way to amalgamate information in planningIT so that the
results are relevant to the purpose in terms of content, format,
usability and attractiveness
-- a standardized procedure for creating publications to enable user
self-sufficiency
-- compatibility with corporate standard software to easily collaborate
with non-planningIT users.
One of the main new capabilities of Release 7.0, the alfabet Publication Framework (aPF) provides a framework for creating publications using user-defined templates for flexible formatting and content of publications. This is important as the need for IT planners and strategists to collaborate with management and business stakeholders grows. New and enhanced reporting capabilities provide even more visualization possibilities for flexible analysis, summarization and communication of enterprise planning information. The publications created via aPF are extremely useful as decision support documents for management, as archival artefacts and as auditor reports.
Broader governance over IT delivery
planningIT Release 7.0 introduces the concept of "Contract" that describes which vendor or internal service is providing a certain product or service and under which conditions, adding another governance aspect to the IT planning process. Contracts are definable for many of the planningIT classes like Vendor Product, Business Process, Application or Project. In tying contract information to IT architecture objects, IT Planners can make informed decisions on architectural change as per contractual relations with IT suppliers and service providers as well as create Service Level Agreements that are aligned with the architectural structure and thus also aligned with IT support for the business. The ties between contractual agreements and delivering architecture provides for a straight forward reconciliation of service level agreements with the actual service levels attained resulting in better cost control and improved risk mitigation.
Greater insight in entire enterprise landscape planning
Large organizations can have hundreds of IT projects slated for delivery annually. Moreover, the upgrading of several thousand existing applications and infrastructure components per year creates a high risk potential for a loss of integrity of the landscape, failure in business process support or security infringements. With the complexity that the interdependency of systems has brought into IT, the synchronization efforts of the Ops team is enormous in such circumstances. In Release 7.0, planningIT introduces Enterprise Release Management for orchestrating IT project deliveries as well as releases for applications, services and related small change requests for the entire enterprise landscape. The significant new feature greatly reduces the effort involved in the release planning and management process by linking it to project planning in a coordinated governed process.
planningIT has been recognized by industry analysts as the most innovative vendor on the market in maturing its product offering. "Release after release, alfabet continues to have the best vision for the upcoming features to complete its existing portfolio of IT management tools." (Forrester Wave Enterprise Architecture Management Suites, Henry Peyret and Tim DeGennaro, Forrester Research, April 2011)
Business IT Management is the task of ensuring that IT powers business success. It combines a deep understanding of the business and its strategy with the insight, planning and execution required to evolve the IT landscape. alfabet is the only vendor providing a comprehensive software suite that supports all aspects of Business IT Management - from accurate insight into the enterprise architecture to IT planning, risk management, compliance, road-mapping and IT Program Control.

Verizon Wireless Enhances 3G Broadband Data Network in Gloucester County, Virginia
LAUREL, Md., June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In acontinuing effort to provide the best wireless service for local residents in Virginia, Verizon Wireless has completed work that increases the 3G data handling capacity of its network in Gloucester County.
Expanded 3G data capacity in Gloucester County lets more customers using tablets, laptops or smartphones instantly download the latest apps, music, videos or 3D games; rapidly browse the Web to keep up with news, sports, stock quotes; send and receive emails in real-time as well as open and download attachments; enjoy turn-by-turn navigation; and more.
The increased coverage is part of the company's aggressive multi-billion dollar network investment each year to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless' voice and data services. Last year alone, the company spent $347 million on regional network improvements, bringing total network investment in the region since 2000 to more than $2.6 billion.
"More and more people rely on smartphones and 3G apps to manage their busy lives and stay connected at home or on-the-go," said Mike Maiorana, Verizon Wireless regional president. "We're committed to continuously improving our network to provide our customers with the 3G advantage, coverage and speed they want and need."
Verizon Wireless has the nation's largest and most reliable 3G broadband network which makes advanced services like turn-by-turn navigation, over-the-air downloads of the latest applications, text/picture messaging, video and music downloads, web browsing and 3D gaming possible. Mobile Broadband customers in enhanced broadband wireless coverage areas can expect average download speeds of 600 kilobits per second (kbps) to 1.4 megabits and average upload speeds of 500-800 kbps. Customer demand for these advanced services continues to grow.
In addition to enhancing its 3G network, Verizon Wireless has deployed its 4G LTE Network in 55 major metropolitan areas and 60 commercial airports coast to coast covering one-third of all Americans. During 2011, the company will continue to expand its 4G footprint to include more than 175 markets by year-end. Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE wireless network is the fastest and most advanced 4G network in America and offers speeds up to 10 times faster than the current 3G network.

New ZVOX Sound Bars Deliver Greater Clarity, Superb Bass and Energy Efficiency from a Single-Box Home Theater Solution
Digitally tailored surround sound, built-in subwoofer, highly efficient "green" digital amplifiers, super-clear vocals and ability to work with any remote; all from one slim, stylish box
SWAMPSCOTT, Mass., June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ZVOX, the company that pioneered the concept of single-cabinet home theater, has announced the introduction of the Z-Base 555 and Z-Base 580, designed to fit elegantly under flat-panel TVs and use only one connecting wire. Both new modelsdeliver revolutionary features and room-filling sound from real wood enclosures at prices that make them the clear choice versus plastic "home theater in a box" products.
"To most people, a high-performance surround sound system means lots of speakers, lots of wires and a giant owner's manual," says ZVOX president Tom Hannaher. "But our new Z-Base systems deliver ground-breaking new features and accurate, three-dimensional sound from slim cabinets that seem to disappear under a TV. No external speakers. No external subwoofer. No big manual."
The new systems combine a strong, traditional approach to high fidelity speaker design with radically new features, some of which have never before been used in home theater systems.
Great Sound: Both new ZVOX systems use five high quality full-range speakers and built-in subwoofers all housed within real wood (MDF) cabinets. New computer-controlled tonal balance delivers ultra-smooth midrange and remarkable bass (as low as 35 Hz). ZVOX's proprietary PhaseCue® II virtual surround system creates room-filling three-dimensional sound--all from one cabinet.
Green Design: The new ZVOX systems feature a super-efficient Class-D digital amplifier that uses approximately 1/10th of a watt in standby mode--making it one of the "greenest" audio systems ever made.
Ultra-Clear Vocals: ZVOX systems are known for their startling vocal clarity. The Z-Base 555 and 580 add a stunning new feature: Dialog Emphasis (DE). When you push the "DE" button on the remote control you engage a circuit that mimics the functions of a hearing aid. We don't know of any other speaker system that provides such an easy-to-use and effective method for improving the intelligibility of television dialogue.
Output Leveling: If you've ever been blasted out of your chair by a too-loud commercial or by a cable channel that's twice as loud as another channel, you'll love the new Output Leveling (OL) feature on the ZVOX 555 and 580. Just push the OL button and a sophisticated compression system takes over, making soft sounds louder and loud sounds softer so there are fewer jarring moments while you enjoy TV programming.
Controlled Remotes: The new Z-Base systems can be programmed to respond to your TV or cable/satellite remote control. The illuminated display walks you through an ultra-simple programming cycle. Then virtually ANY remote control can control volume, mute, power and input functions of the ZVOX system.
Disappearing Display: The 555 and 580 feature a four-digit display located behind the speaker grille that shows the current setting for volume, bass, treble and PhaseCue(TM) (virtual surround) - and also shows when you have engaged the Mute, Output Leveling (OL) or Dialog Emphasis (DE) features. A few seconds after you stop using your remote (or front panel) controls, the display disappears completely.
Multiple Inputs ... including front-panel connection for iPod® and other portable devices: The new Z-Base systems each have two analog audio inputs, one optical (Toslink) digital input, one coaxial digital input - plus a front panel 3.5mm analog stereo input for convenient connection of your iPod or other portable audio device. Any specific input can be selected using either the remote control or the slim-line module below the speaker grille.
Wood Cabinet with Hand-Lacquered Side Panels: The 555 and 580 feature hand-built cabinets of MDF (medium density fiberboard) with beautiful hand-lacquered high-gloss end panels. Its low-profile design blends perfectly with flat-panel TVs. Most people don't even notice a Z-Base system...until they hear it.
Availability: The ZVOX 555 and 580 systems are shipping now. They are available directly through the manufacturer's web site (http://www.zvoxaudio.com) as well as through select retailers throughout the country. ZVOX products are available from trusted websites such as amazon.com, crutchfield.com, onecall.com, vanns.com, listenup.com and worldwidestereo.com. Geosyntec Consultants Signs Strategic Teaming Agreement for High Performance Green Infrastructure Computing Platform
ATLANTA, June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Geosyntec Consultants (Geosyntec) announced today it has executed a strategic teaming agreement with ioBridge, Inc. of Marlborough, Mass., to develop and deploy "smart" technologies for the management of urban stormwater infrastructure. Geosyntec and ioBridge have committed to the exclusive use of ioBridge's remote control and monitoring hardware and software platform as part of Geosyntec's advanced water resources engineering applications. The ioBridge platform is used to support Geosyntec's OptiRTC applications, a suite of Geosyntec-developed computing services for monitoring and control of water resources systems and other advanced green infrastructure facilities.
"Geosyntec's OptiRTC computing environment enables distributed monitoring and control of a variety of engineered systems, bringing real-time, IP-based, low-cost, flexible computing to the water resources engineering sector, previously constrained by passive or large scale centralized solutions. Our agreement with ioBridge is the next step in delivering solutions to our clients that incorporate the 'Internet of Things' principles initially described more than a decade ago. OptiRTC is one of the first applications to take advantage of low-cost, distributed web-based technologies for the engineering of civil infrastructure systems," said Marcus Quigley, Geosyntec Principal Water Resources Engineer.
"Proliferation of easily-deployed, low-cost monitoring and control systems for water resources and green infrastructure applications could fundamentally change the way we approach and solve serious environmental challenges such as pollution from urban stormwater runoff that have traditionally involved significant capital investment solutions. The systems that will emerge from the Geosyntec-ioBridge agreement present an opportunity to dramatically change the way we view, interact with, and manage our environment," continued Quigley.

EarthLink Completes Phase II of Eastern Tennessee Middle Mile Fiber Broadband Project
ATLANTA, June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- EarthLink, Inc. (NASDAQ: ELNK), a leading IP infrastructure and services company, today announced completion of Phase II of the Eastern Tennessee Middle Mile Fiber Broadband Project by its business communications segment EarthLink Business(TM). In March, 2010, DeltaCom, Inc., now an EarthLink Business company, was awarded the $9.4 million in federal stimulus funding by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) through the Broadband Technology Opportunity Program (BTOP) to enable the network expansion.
The Phase Two network expansion includes deployment of a new 131-mile diverse fiber optic route from Knoxville, Tennessee to Bristol, Tennessee. Point of Presence (POP) sites along the route include: Knoxville, TN; Morristown, TN; Johnson City, TN; and Bristol, TN. The network expansion is now available for SONET Transport Service, opening new wholesale markets in East Tennessee for the EarthLink Carrier(TM) division.
The Final Phase of the project, targeted for completion in the third quarter of 2011, will add five new ILEC interconnection points, including Cookeville, Oak Ridge, Cleveland, Sweetwater and Morristown, Tennessee, which are located in counties designated as underserved by Connected Tennessee, an independent non-profit organization that develops and implements effective strategies for technology deployment, use and literacy in Tennessee. Upon completion, EarthLink will market its full suite of business communications services in these markets.
Completion of Phase I of the network expansion was announced in March, and included a 343-mile overbuild of an existing diverse fiber optic route from Nashville to Knoxville, and the addition of a new diverse fiber optic route from Knoxville to Chattanooga.
Upon completion, the new network will enable broadband access for a number of core community institutions, including education and healthcare providers, and will also allow Internet Service Providers to connect to EarthLink's world class IP network.
EarthLink's fiber broadband expansion in Tennessee is part of its overall strategy to expand network coverage to provide nationwide connectivity for businesses with locations across the U.S.
"As we complete another crucial phase in this project, we are eager to provide increased connectivity options for a region that has been traditionally underserved," said Jim O'Brien, EarthLink Business Executive Vice President of Network Services and Customer Operations. "Providing the means for more effective technology deployment will allow institutions such as medical facilities to enhance healthcare delivery and better serve their constituencies. The improved access may also stimulate job creation in these areas by enabling businesses to expand operations with more robust access."
When complete, this Federal grant funded project will comprise a fiber optic network of more than 500 miles in Eastern Tennessee which will provide middle mile broadband services to carrier customers, community anchor institutions, and last mile service providers in speeds up to 10Gbps.

Last.fm's Personalized Radio Launches On Radio.com Player
Users Can Easily Customize Radio Stations Featuring More Than 4.5 Million Artists And Nearly 12 Million Tracks
Alignment Of CBS RADIO's Over the Air and Digital Assets Provides More Choice For Listeners Than Ever Before
NEW YORK,June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Taking advantage of the pioneering technology of Last.fm,the world's leading music discovery and recommendation service, the CBS Interactive Music Group today announced it will now offer consumers the ability to create their own online stations via one-click functionality integrated into its award-winning Radio.com player. Featuring any of the more than 4.5 million artists in Last.fm's library and nearly 12 million tracks, the player will provide listeners, for the first time, an infinite number of free streaming experiences across broadcast, online and personalized radio.
Last.fm is a global music service that exposes its community of over 40 million users worldwide to new and relevant music through its proprietary "scrobbling" technology. Scrobbling allows the audience to track the music they play on Last.fm, Radio.com and on more than 600 music applications. Last.fm then uses the collective intelligence to recommend the songs and artists that power its personalized radio stations.
Using the "create a station" button now available within the player, a listener can simply enter an artist and hit the play button to hear their personalized radio station. Related music will populate the station with the ability to love, ban, and skip tracks as appropriate. Just as easily, the user can create a different station, or return to their favorite CBS RADIO station, or one of its streaming partners.
"CBS is in the unique position of programming to consumers who appreciate high quality local radio stations both on-air and online, but also value the ability to experiment with their own musical tastes," says David Goodman, President, CBS Interactive Music Group. "We can easily accommodate the listener's needs as a result of combining our breadth of assets, and by using them in a way that complements their inherent strengths and value proposition.
"Premium content from major market brands like KROQ and WXRT, for example, is in high demand and will continue to foster growth online for many years to come. But in a world where consumers expect more and more control over their audio consumption we're pleased to provide them with the best of both worlds."
Re-launched in July 2010, the Radio.com player is populated with hundreds of professionally programmed stations from CBS RADIO, and its streaming partners. Additionally, consumers can immerse themselves in an abundance of music related news and information, bios and photo galleries of their favorite artists, concert dates and ticketing details, as well as blog posts, and audio and video clips from CBS RADIO's 130 stations.

Callaway Announces Openings of Two New Performance Centers
South San Francisco and Myrtle Beach Locations Provide Custom Fitting for Golfers of All Skill Levels
CARLSBAD, Calif., June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) today announced the opening of two new Callaway Performance Centers--one at Golf Mart in South San Francisco, Calif., and another at Golf Dimensions in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The South San Francisco location opened on May 12th, while the Myrtle Beach location is scheduled to open its doors in July. They are the 15th and 16th Callaway Performance Centers to open in the United States.
Callaway Performance Centers offer a specialized custom fitting experience to help golfers optimize their game. Utilizing the patented Callaway Performance Analysis System(TM) (CPAS), the same technology used by players like Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els, Callaway's custom fitting process ensures that golfers of all abilities are playing equipment tailored to their swing needs and ability.
"Many golfers believe that a custom fitting benefits only professionals or top-level amateur players, but that is hardly the case," said Randy Peterson, Callaway's Director of Fitting & Instruction. "Players of all ability levels will see marked improvement in their game by using equipment that is suited to their specific swing characteristics. By adding a Callaway Performance Center in a golf-loving city like South San Francisco and the golf hotbed of Myrtle Beach, more players will have access to the benefits of our proven technology. These are exciting additions to our growing list of Performance Center locations."
The CPAS System employs high-speed optics and ball-flight simulators, while a projector displays an analysis of each golfer's launch conditions--ball speed, launch angle and spin rates. In addition, the system measures the path angle and the golfer's angle of attack to the ball, utilizing 3D imagery and precision software designed by Callaway's world-renowned Research & Development department.
Callaway's proprietary OptiFit® and I-Mix® Fitting System technology allows golfers to test the manufacturer's equipment in a myriad of shaft and clubhead combinations quickly and efficiently. Never before have everyday golfers benefited from such high-tech proprietary equipment to improve their performance and enjoyment on the golf course.
The Callaway Performance Center that recently opened within the flagship Bay Area Golf Mart Superstore is conveniently located just two miles from San Francisco Airport and 20 miles from downtown San Francisco. The Golf Mart Superstore boasts 26,000 square feet of retail space, a 1,000 square-foot putting green, seven fitting bays, a full repair center and a 90-day satisfaction guarantee.

"To have ABUKAI Expenses included in V CAST Apps and available through the Verizon Wireless Online Media Store is a privilege and a distinction for ABUKAI," said Philipp Schloter, president and chief executive officer of ABUKAI. "The app gives Verizon Wireless customers an efficient way to access and experience ABUKAI Expenses' unique and highly productive benefits. With ABUKAI Expenses, capturing and recording expenses is a simple two-step process: customers simply take pictures of their receipts while on the road or in the office using the camera function on their Verizon Wireless smartphones. Once all of the receipts have been captured, customers push "Submit" in the application, and ABUKAI automatically creates their expense reports - complete with cost categorization, date, vendor and other required information. In addition, a PDF document with copies of the receipt images is provided with each report.
For corporate account customers, ABUKAI offers the option to customize the expense report output based on customers' existing format or to input expense data directly into existing expense management or accounting systems.
V CAST Apps, available on select Android(TM) smartphones and BlackBerry® devices, including ThunderBolt(TM) by HTC, DROID PRO by Motorola and Samsung Fascinate(TM), delivers thousands of apps, games and more to Verizon Wireless customers. V CAST Apps lets customers discover, purchase and use apps with a simple one-click process and offers the ease and convenience of direct billing - apps purchased are invoiced on customers' monthly Verizon Wireless bills.
Verizon Wireless customers with V CAST Apps on their device can download ABUKAI Expenses from V CAST Apps in the Business Apps channel under the Finance subcategory. The Nefsis cloud provides HD quality, security, and affordability, offering business users more choices between the extremes of unsecure video calling and high-priced telepresence boardrooms
SAN DIEGO, June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Online services innovator Nefsis® provided commentary today on the expanding roll of cloud computing in the video conferencing industry. Cloud computing is enabling a new generation of video conferencing online services such as Nefsis to provide HD video quality with the ease-of-use of browsing the Web. This new product category - online video conferencing - fills the void between free consumer-oriented video calling services such as Skype and its opposite extreme, installed-site telepresence systems costing hundreds of thousands of dollars per installation. Now, business users can turn to cloud-based services for more video, collaboration, and secure conference controls than those of unsecure, simple video calls, but without the heavy investment telepresence requires.
"Businesses no longer have to face a choice between low-quality video calling services and telepresence installations, now they can get business-grade HD video quality and the anytime, anywhere convenience of the cloud," said Tom Toperczer, Nefsis Vice President of Marketing.
Nefsis officials commented further that the combination of distributed cloud technology that virtualizes conferences in close proximity to users, end-to-end parallel processing leveraging all available processor cores, and the use of off-the-shelf webcams and conference room cameras, provides high-performance video and lower cost. Not all cloud-based video conferencing solutions offer these advantages.
Nefsis offers a full-featured, free trial available now at Nefsis.com. Trial users can easily test and implement a wide variety of HD and multipoint video conferencing systems using almost any video peripheral and existing Internet access. Nefsis scalable video and automated bandwidth throttling adapts to the customer's network. Nefsis also offers built-in diagnostic tools and a full-suite of IT controls that govern user access, security, and video features.

Double Update from JetBrains on .NET Performance Optimization and Code Coverage
PRAGUE, June 9, 2011/PRNewswire/ --
- JetBrains Releases dotTrace 4.5 Performance and dotCover 1.1:
Milestone Updates for its Expanding set of .NET Developer Productivity Tools
Prague, Czech Republic, June 9, 2011 - JetBrains(R), creators of
intelligent, productivity-enhancing development tools, today announced a
prominent update release of two .NET tools: dotTrace 4.5 Performance, a
powerful .NET application performance profiler, and dotCover 1.1, a .NET code
coverage plug-in for Visual Studio.
The updates improve on last year's major releases by adding the most
requested functionality. dotTrace 4.5 Performance minimizes the time that
.NET developers spend between capturing a performance snapshot of their
application and the moment they have a clear picture why their application is
underperforming. dotCover 1.1 streamlines collecting and sharing code
coverage information via new reporting and integration features, as well as
general user experience improvements.
"dotTrace has always been very insightful in terms of analyzing .NET
applications for performance bottlenecks," said Oleg Stepanov, .NET Division
Project Lead. "This release makes detecting offending code more
straightforward: we've made presentation clearer and more task-oriented, and
introduced more options to investigate how a particular code entity behaves.
In dotCover, we've added features that a mature code coverage tool is
expected to have, such as extensive reporting and integration with more
third-party tools."
New dotTrace Performance features include:
- Reworked presentation of profiling results.
- New options to estimate potential performance gains.
- Analyzing the performance of a certain class along the lines of its
API.
New dotCover features include:
- Generating code coverage reports as XML, HTML, JSON, and XML for
NDepend.
- Per-solution coverage settings.
- Code coverage analysis results can be directly requested from a
continuous integration server to Visual Studio.
dotCover commercial license is available as a limited-time offer at $149
per seat, including one full year of upgrades to new releases. dotTrace 4.5
Performance commercial pricing starts at $399; bundle and volume discounts
are available. For any sales inquiries and volume pricing options, please
