First Demo of 'Shooting Blocks' Available from AdoreGames.com

VICTORIA, Seychelles, Feb. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AdoreStudio Ltd, a fast-growing game developer, announces today the release of their first Demo, "Shooting Blocks." It is a vivid example of a user-oriented casual game as it combines important features of pleasantly performed design and captivating game plot.

"Shooting Blocks" is a logical game consisting of levels which should be passed in sequence as with every level, difficulty increases. Each level represents a figure consisting of ice blocks standing on a platform. The goal of the game is to shoot all empty blocks while avoiding breaking/losing filled blocks.

The current Demo version is designed for Windows OS only; however, in the future the company is thinking about adapting it for Mac OS as well as for different gadget platforms - for example, iPod and iPhone.

At the moment AdoreStudio is working on the full-featured version of the program and planning to publish it at the beginning of spring. The final version will be enriched with more difficulty levels and will have an updated, more user-friendly design, thus it will bring more joy for casual game lovers.

However, this is not the only project under development from AdoreStudio. The company is working on another project at the moment and in March a new Demo product will be released. Moreover, a line of other casual games is going to be developed in the coming months. D3 designed and engineered the 82,000 lb. LED display for its client, TSQ Digital. It measures one hundred feet wide by fifty feet high, and was designed to serve multiple advertisers. The LED display is capable of exchanging data transmitted via cell phone and broadcasting HD video feeds, providing a unique interactive platform for third-party advertisers.

As more surgeons upload their data, the app will allow consumers to search for cosmetic surgeons by zip code and review different procedures by gender with pricing information that includes the total costs - doctors fees, operating room costs, anesthesia costs, implants, etc. Previously, some physicians included only their own fees, which did not provide a complete picture.

The BuildMyBod app, which works on iPhones(TM), iPads(TM), and the iPod Touch(TM), has been approved and is now available through the iPhone App Store. According to Dr. Kaplan, a version for phones that use the Android(TM) operating system will soon be available.

Kaplan, a cosmetic surgeon, originally devised the BuildMyBod app to help build his own practice, but decided to include a database of thousands of cosmetic surgeons across the country. According to Kaplan, "Consumers want information to make better buying decisions, especially about cosmetic surgery, where prices for the same procedures can vary by as much as 35%! As the dramatic growth in the development of apps for the iPhone shows, people want the convenience of having information they can use to make important decisions on their phones. While the app lists thousands of cosmetic surgeons and their contact information in its database, surgeons are encouraged to subscribe to the database and add specific practice information and total procedure pricing to their file. The new release serves as an open platform on which a broad ecosystem of partners can further customize the software, and on which SAP will develop new on-demand offerings for various lines of business. Further features include enhancements to usability, support for additional mobile devices and on-demand integration of subsidiary operations into on-premise installations at headquarters. In addition, SAP Business ByDesign is now also being made available in Austria, Canada and Switzerland.

With the new release, SAP takes another significant step in executing its cloud computing strategy and further delivers on its product strategy to extend the availability of business software across on-premise installations, on-demand offerings and a wide variety of popular mobile devices.

Since the launch of feature pack 2.5 in July 2010, SAP Business ByDesign has gained considerable market traction, with approximately 250 customers currently signed up. SAP is now working with approximately 50 solution resellers and around 40 solution partners to serve a customer base that is expected to grow by several hundred around the May 2011 timeframe. The new feature pack ushers in a release twice a year to accelerate product innovation and improve the customer experience.

Ecosystem Extension Improves Customer Value

With feature pack 2.6 for SAP Business ByDesign, SAP partners and customers can extend the solution to individual requirements. Approximately 80 percent of all project-specific adaptations -- such as adjusting the user interface, creating new reports, building forms and adjusting business processes -- can be completed by customer key users without programming. For the remaining 20 percent, SAP has also introduced the first version of the software development kit (SDK) SAP Business ByDesign studio, which will enable partners to create complete add-on solutions.

This Microsoft Visual Studio-based development environment is fully integrated into the lifecycle management system from SAP and is currently being tested with selected partners. Partners are starting with project-based add-ons, with planned ability over time to add horizontal functionality and build deeply vertical industry solutions.

        integration between headquarters and subsidiary partners. With feature
        pack 2.6, SAP offers the first integration scenario for financial
        consolidation to help companies deal with the growing level of global

        Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards
        (IFRS), multiple currencies particularly at the subsidiary and
        transaction currency level, as well as tax jurisdictions. Further
        integration scenarios for sales and distribution are planned for the
        next version.
    --  Platform for line-of-business offerings. In addition to enabling
        partners to create industry-specific solutions, SAP Business ByDesign
        also will serve as the platform for line-of-business offerings for large
        enterprises from SAP, including the SAP® Sales OnDemand solution,
        planned for launch in the first half of 2011.
    --  Extended mobile support. In addition to supporting the iPhone, feature
        pack 2.6 for SAP Business ByDesign extends mobile support to the iPad
        and RIM BlackBerry smartphones. The next version is planned to include
        further support for the Android and Windows Phone 7 operating systems.
        In addition, partners have the ability to build native mobile
        applications that run Web services from SAP Business ByDesign, as well
        as build mobile applications using SAP Business ByDesign studio.
    --  In-memory expansion. The analytics functionality within SAP Business
        ByDesign runs on SAP in-memory computing. Feature pack 2.6 adds sales
        and financial planning scenarios powered by in-memory technology. These
        allow customers to develop their business strategies more quickly and
        precisely based on the ability to process huge data volumes in real
        time.

Analytical and Business Data on the Move

With the dashboard app for feature pack 2.6, customers can access and consume complete analytical business information, enabling them to react to changes and make informed decisions. The app provides worksheets to arrange and organize reports, as well as annotations, notes, e-mail and voice notes for collaboration with colleagues. A compare function allows access to previous versions of customer data, including the ability to highlight significant changes in data based on a predefined threshold that can easily be changed by a fingertip. The dashboard app will be free to download from the Apple iTunes store and available in demo mode for non-SAP Business ByDesign customers.

The first commercial is a poignant piece focusing on BMW's economic commitment in America as told through the voices of the company's associates at its manufacturing facility in South Carolina. The commercial underscoring BMW's commitment in America, dubbed Defying Logic, showcases the company as a significant contributor to the economy and a vital part of the American automobile manufacturing industry.  It was filmed in BMW's Spartanburg, South Carolina manufacturing facility where all BMW X3, X5 and X6 vehicles are produced and exported to 130 markets worldwide. "This important mobile technology provides physicians with the ability to immediately view images and make diagnoses without having to be back at the workstation or wait for film," said William Maisel, M.D., M.P.H., chief scientist and deputy director for science in the FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health.

Radiology images taken in the hospital or physician's office are compressed for secure network transfer then sent to the appropriate portable wireless device via software called Mobile MIM. Mobile MIM, manufactured by Cleveland-based MIM Software Inc., allows the physician to measure distance on the image and image intensity values and display measurement lines, annotations and regions of interest.

In its evaluation, the FDA reviewed performance test results on various portable devices. These tests measured luminance, image quality (resolution), and noise in accordance with international standards and guidelines. The FDA also reviewed results from demonstration studies with qualified radiologists under different lighting conditions. All participants agreed that the device was sufficient for diagnostic image interpretation under the recommended lighting conditions.

The display performance of mobile devices can experience significant variations in luminance levels even between mobile devices of the same model. The Mobile MIM application includes sufficient labeling and safety features to mitigate the risk of poor image display due to improper screen luminance or lighting conditions. The device includes an interactive contrast test in which a small part of the screen is a slightly different shade than the rest of the screen. If the physician can identify and tap this portion of the screen, then the lighting conditions are not interfering with the physician's ability to discern subtle differences in contrast. In addition, a safety guide is included within the application.

Mexican Drug Cartels Selling Counterfeit Windows For Profit

The article basically says that cartels are selling the BS software to fund other activities... but what it says to me is that the cartel is pretty much raking in cash over Microsoft's hard work. Don't get me wrong, I don't like Microsoft, but this is a double strike. The cartels basically counterfeit Windows and sell it for cheap to fund their drug activities. This probably means that a large chunk of their money comes from this. $800 million per year!

New Search Option Drives More Online Buyers to Carfax-Subscribing Dealers

CENTREVILLE, Va., Feb. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Cars.com and Carfax have expanded their partnership to help dealers sell more cars online. As part of the partnership, Cars.com has enhanced its vehicle search function. Cars.com visitors now can narrow their search results to only include cars listed with free Carfax Vehicle History Reports. This enhancement makes Carfax-subscribing dealer inventories more visible to online shoppers.

"I was looking for a commuter car on Cars.com and I found a dealer who had attached a Carfax Report to his ad," said recent used car buyer John Ellsworth of Stockton, Calif. "Based upon the information provided on the Carfax Report, I found this to be the exact vehicle I had been looking for. The next day I drove to the dealership and purchased the car."

Since 2005, Cars.com has automatically linked Carfax Reports paid for by subscribing dealers to their vehicle listings. Now, used car shoppers have a better way of saying 'Show Me the Carfax' when shopping online.

Previous independent studies prove that cars sell faster when dealers include Carfax Reports with their online listings.

Verizon Wireless Expands 3G Network Coverage in Oneida County

- New cell site improves coverage and capacity in New Hartford

- Provides access to 3G wireless broadband service

UTICA, N.Y., Feb. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --Verizon Wireless is investing in Oneida County and expanding its local coverage with a new cell site in New Hartford.  The new site improves coverage and capacity in portions of the town of New Hartford, including Clinton Road, Route 5A, Route 840 and areas around Sangertown Mall.

This network expansion is part of the company's aggressive multi-billion dollar network investment each year to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless' voice and data services. The company has invested more than $65 billion nationwide since it was formed - $6 billion on average every year - and invested more than $125 million in Upstate New York in 2010.

In addition to ongoing investment in its 3G network, the company recently began rolling out its 4G LTE network in 38 markets nationwide, including Rochester and the New York City area.

We continue to aggressively invest in our Upstate New York network to increase coverage and capacity for our customers, add new services like 4G LTE, and maintain our existing 3G network leadership," said Gene Fassett, executive director of Network for Verizon Wireless' Upstate New York Region.

In addition to voice and wireless data services such as V CAST Video and V CAST Music with Rhapsody, the company offers MobileBroadband, its high-speed wireless broadband network geared toward mobile professionals and business customers. In 4G LTE coverage areas, it provides average speeds of 5-12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2-5 Mbps on the uplink in real-world, loaded network environments. In 3G coverage areas, it provides average download speeds of 600 kilobits per second (kbps) to 1.4 Mbps, and average upload speeds of 500-800 kbps.   

Strong demand for Verizon Wireless' services continued during the fourth quarter of 2010 as the company added more than 950,000 net new customers.
