OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Jan. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ferrellgas Partners, L.P. (NYSE: FGP), today announced the launch of a website in support of its autogas business segment, FerrellAutogas (http://www.ferrellautogas.com). The site provides resources and information for businesses looking to convert their fleets to clean-burning propane autogas.

"The case for converting fleets to autogas gets better every day," said Steve Wambold, Ferrellgas' Chief Executive Officer. "Propane powers 14 million vehicles worldwide, and we believe that the domestic marketplace is just waiting for a clean fuel that provides the power fleets need at a price that benefits their bottom line."

In addition to significant environmental benefits like a 60- to 70-percent reduction in smog-producing hydrocarbons when compared to gasoline, a 96-percent reduction in toxins and carcinogens like benzene and toluene, and a 20-percent reduction in NOx, propane autogas offers performance benefits like lower cost of ownership and longer service life when compared to traditional fuels. An added benefit is that, unlike a number of other alternative fuels, an autogas-powered vehicle's torque and towing capacities are identical to that of gasoline and diesel-powered versions, even while reducing the frequency of scheduled and preventative maintenance.

As an additional benefit, the recently signed Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Authorization and Job Creation Act of 2010 may allow some businesses and school districts using propane to power their fleets and forklifts the opportunity to receive substantial tax credits, including a $0.50 per gallon credit through December 31, 2011, retroactive to 2010. In addition, the alternative fuel infrastructure tax credit has also been extended, allowing businesses that install autogas fueling stations to recover 30% of the cost of the installation, not to exceed $30,000. Fueling station owners who install qualified equipment at multiple sites are allowed to use the credit toward each location.

"Even if there weren't significant federal and state tax benefits, propane autogas supplies fleet owners and operators with a realistic return on investment when compared to traditional fuels," added Wambold. "FerrellAutogas is a smart move for Ferrellgas, and a great opportunity for domestic fleets to embrace a right-here, right-now alternative fuel."

GREELEY, Colo., Jan. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Pilgrim's Pride Corporation (NYSE: PPC) has introduced a redesigned, consumer-friendly website featuring an expanded recipe section from some of America's best chefs, valuable coupons and updated information about the second-largest chicken company in the U.S. 

The new website (http://www.pilgrims.com) is the latest phase of Pilgrim's ongoing rebranding campaign. Last fall Pilgrim's introduced new consumer packaging on its case-ready meats as part of a nationwide plan to reposition the company's brand with consumers and customers.

Visitors to the website will immediately notice the fresh, updated design and graphics. The previous logo featuring the familiar Pilgrim hat has been replaced with a modern image of a chicken in red with "Pilgrim's" written in blue beneath the bird. The site is aimed primarily at consumers, who said they wanted the site to highlight products, coupons and recipes.  The site features a chef-inspired recipe section - including Daisy Martinez, host of "Viva Daisy!" on the Food Network - so that families can easily prepare restaurant-quality meals at home. 

The website also highlights updated information and photos of the company's products, including nutrition information, cooking instructions and recipe ideas for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  In addition, there are updated links for investors, media, job seekers and customers.

The next step in the company's rebranding campaign is planned for April, when Pilgrim's will introduce new packaging for its core line of 13 products, ranging from breast strips and nuggets to wings and popcorn chicken. By spring, all of Pilgrim's packaging will exhibit a fresh, consistent look across the retail meat case, with designs that highlight its new tag line - All About Great Taste - with colorful product shots and appealing graphics. Television Dominicana, Supercanal and VeneMovies Join FiOS TV's Spanish-Language and La Conexion Packages

NEW YORK, Jan. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Just one month after adding new programming to Verizon FiOS TV's Spanish-language offering, the company is once again expanding its Spanish-language content offering with the launch of three new channels: Television Dominicana, Supercanal and VeneMovies.  FiOS TV's extensive Spanish-language channel lineup now includes 34 of the most popular channels available.

Combined Expertise of Orange Business Services, Eutelsat, Alstom and Capgemini Enable SNCF to Launch Internet Connectivity for Passengers on TGV East Trains

PARIS, January 18, 2011/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --     Launched on December 1 by France's SNCF rail company, the Box
TGV service is now enabling passengers using the eastern route of its
high-speed network to benefit from a unique multimedia and Internet service.
Box TGV uses technology and infrastructure developed by the OCEA consortium,
led by Orange Business Services and including Eutelsat, Alstom and Capgemini.

    The technological achievements realised by the consortium have
risen to the challenge of ensuring service at high speed in a high voltage
electrical environment, and integrating the system's maintenance into the
overall maintenance schedules of a high-speed network with no impact on the
rotation of trains.

    Assembling competence from four experts in their field

    As prime contractor for the overall programme, Orange Business
Services assured the integration of services and the communications
infrastructure, and used the R&D teams of Orange to develop the mobile router
for connectivity between the satellite and WiFi network. As the operator and
integrator, Orange Business Services also provides access, operation and
maintenance services of the on board WiFi network and the Internet access.

    "Providing Internet connectivity at 320 kph was a new
challenge that we are all proud to have successfully addressed for the SNCF,"
commented Philippe Roger, Vice President Large Accounts France at Orange
Business Services. "The Internet access solution proposed by Box TGV is

    Eutelsat is supplying the satellite component of the network.
The satellite antennas installed on the roof of the trains were specifically
developed to comply with available headroom, and can operate at speeds up to
360 kph in a high voltage electrical environment. The system operates via
Eutelsat's ATLANTIC BIRD(TM) 2 satellite, using an advanced spread-spectrum
technique, which makes it possible to layer up data flows transmitted to and
from the trains. The service is available on the entire TGV East network
serving France, Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland, and currently supplies a
total throughput of 30 Mbps, which can be increased as required.

    Alstom brought its experience of railway standards and
equipment integration. It is responsible for supply and installation of the
Wi-Fi equipment and the servers which process and store the on board
multimedia portals. Alstom also installed the LAN network, which is connected
to the servers feeding the carriages of each train and the WiFI hotspots in
each carriage.

    Capgemini, through its Telecom & Media sector in France,
carried out the end-to-end supervision application, from the ground servers
to hardware and software equipments on board of each of the French high speed
train wagons. The operators thus have a global vision of the working
conditions of the system, and the necessary information to correct
malfunctions. Capgemini has also developed geolocation softwares that can
provide information on the speed and location displayed on the portal.

Steve Jobs Taking Another Medical Leave From Apple

We wish Steve the best of health, but he is taking another medical leave. Maybe the company should focus on the products instead of the CEO. Apple is a great marketing company.

At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health. I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company.

I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for all of Apple's day to day operations. I have great confidence that Tim and the rest of the executive management team will do a terrific job executing the exciting plans we have in place for 2011.

I love Apple so much and hope to be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, my family and I would deeply appreciate respect for our privacy.

Redbox Outpaces Rental Stores

Those little red kiosks at supermarkets and such are out-pacing traditional video rental stores. This should come as no surprise as people are generally lazy and will do what is the easiest thing. Having those kiosks at stores they are already in makes the rental process easier and leads to more impulse renting. Netflix streaming is the ultimate in ease, though.

NPD Group says that for the first time, movie rentals from standalone kiosk have a larger market share in the United States than those from brick-and-mortar stores. "Netflix and other subscription services comprised 41 percent of video rental turns in the third quarter of 2010," NPD wrote, "followed by kiosk rentals at 31 percent, and in-store rentals at 27 percent." NPD, a research firm, said today that its study found the share of kiosk rentals grew 10 percent from the same quarter in 2009. The data only accounts for disc rentals and does not include movies streamed over the Web. The findings come four months after Blockbuster, the former No. 1 video rental outlet, filed for bankruptcy protection. The company is now pursuing its own kiosk strategy.

Providing application delivery optimization, high availability and fault tolerance, the LoadMaster 2600 and 3600 deliver improved performance for web-enabled applications.

Providing advanced features and high performance at a much lower price point than other competing offerings, the LoadMaster 2600 (replacing the LoadMaster 2500) features 4 GbE ports and delivers improved performance to address increased traffic loads. The 2600 now features a 25-percent improvement for Layer-7 throughput--now at 1.5Gbps. Moreover, the 2600 has improved SSL transactions per second (TPS) to 2,000 TPS.

For even greater throughput, the 8-GbE port LoadMaster 3600 (replacing the LoadMaster 3500), a new mid-range platform offers improved layer 4 and layer 7 throughput of 26 percent to 3.4 Gbps and 25 percent to 2.9 Gbps, respectively.  SSL processing performance on the new LM3600 has been increased to 5,000 TPS. Additionally, the 3600 supports up to 1,000 virtual and real servers and 100,000 L7 concurrent connections or two million L4 concurrent transactions. 

Both models incorporate application acceleration features such as caching, compression, and SSL offloading--now providing even greater performance for 2,048-bit length keys. This increase in SSL capability cost effectively offers users improved performance and quicker response time for encrypted applications such as e-commerce where web servers can be overwhelmed with SSL encryption processing.

As with all KEMP LoadMaster products, the two new models intelligently and efficiently distribute user traffic among servers to ensure the best possible user experience and high availability for web and business applications. In addition, all KEMP LoadMaster models are now optimized for Microsoft Exchange 2010, Lync, SharePoint, and Terminal Services.

For the First Time, Subscribers of Regional Wireless Carriers Can Participate  In Mobile Giving Campaigns

GetLisa is a regional carrier aggregator that provides service to 40 regional wireless carriers. ("Vocollect") has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Intermec, Inc. (NYSE: IN) ("Intermec") for US $190 M in cash. Vocollect is the world leader in voice solutions for workforce management of mobile workers. The sale includes Vocollect's Supply Chain and Healthcare Systems businesses. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close later in Q1.
