The Parker for iPhone App features a simple interface that gives users an instant, location-based map pinpointing the city blocks with the most available parking spaces. Users can see which blocks have: more than four, more than two or less two spots; as well as blocks with "rock star" parking - the areas closest with the most open spaces. The app also delivers information about parking space time limits, pricing, and whether meters take credit cards or coins.  It also will direct drivers to the nearest City parking garages as an alternative to street parking. 

The app is based on Streetline's patented smart parking platform that detects the presence of a car through a network of ultra-low power wireless sensors located in each parking space. This information is then transmitted back to mobile smart phones and web applications that give drivers a live, accurate picture of open parking spaces across a city. The Kizashi(TM) Ring of Fire app for iPad and iPhone is a single player racing game that combines both world-class design and high performance. Players experience the Kizashi in four fantasy track locations - Tokyo, Siberia, Alaska and Los Angeles - locations recently visited on the Tokyo to L.A.:  The Hard Way road trip. In the game, players race the 2011 Kizashi SE on the first two tracks and the 2011 Suzuki Kizashi Sport GTS on the more challenging third and fourth track. To enhance the experience, the app uses the iPad and iPhone motion sensors for dynamic steering and players can activate AWD to enhance vehicle handling, or use special Suzuki boosts to enter super-fast warp mode.

Brass Monkey remote control technology enables users to turn their iPad or iPhone into a virtual steering wheel.  The player connects the device to a computer via WiFi connection and controls the hero vehicle in the online game.

PARIS, December 22, 2010/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --     Eutelsat Communications (Euronext Paris: ETL) confirmed today that the
launch campaign of its KA-SAT satellite by an ILS Proton Breeze M vehicle has
resumed at the Baikonour Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

    Launch is scheduled in the night of 26 to 27 December 2010 (21.51GMT,
22.51CET on 26 December, 03.51 in Baikonour on 27 December). Spacecraft
separation will occur approximately 9 hours, 12 minutes after liftoff.

    Joint operations in Baikonour by ILS, Khrunichev, Eutelsat and Astrium,
which began on 20 November for an initially scheduled launch on 20 December,
were interrupted pending the conclusions from the Russian State Commission on
the GLONASS mission of December 5.

Windows On Arm, Possible?

We're not talking about Windows CE or embedded products. Microsoft is hinting (or was leaked) that they are making a real copy of Windows for ARM. The Windows ecosystem is all x86, though. One of the biggest things going for Microsoft is the backwards compatibility of most software. We'll see if this happens.

Bloomberg, which broke the news this afternoon, reported that sources familiar with Microsoft's plans said this version of Windows will continue to work on x86 processors, but that it should improve battery performance on devices like tablets and other devices that use ARM processors.

Additional confirmation of Microsoft's plans came from The Wall Street Journal, which added that this new version will not be available for another two years. CNET heard similar reports from a source who added that Microsoft plans to detail this version of Windows at an invite-only press event several hours ahead of its CES keynote.
