Name Dynamics' Universal Business Listing service (UBL) has become a recognized component in the local business listings marketplace where it has guided individual companies and major interactive agencies with the submission, correction, and enhancement of their online business profiles. It is regularly quoted by experts as one of the top ten fundamentals of Local Search optimization.
Accurate and ubiquitous local business listing content is known in the marketing world as a foundation element of online promotion and customer acquisition. We believe that these new services will provide the Company with significant growth opportunities worldwide. The Company will champion the importance of having a central repository of business profiles from which businesses and their representatives can manage their identity in one place for an annual fee. UBL currently has thousands of corporations and agencies subscribing to have their information distributed to every major local search portal such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, Local.com , City Search, SuperPages, and Yellow Pages.com. It complements that distribution by submitting to hundreds of internet yellow page sites, social networks, search directories, GPS Navigation devices, and to text, wireline, and mobile 411.
The Universal Business listing service (http://www.UBL.org) is the starting block for a larger strategy for monitoring, enhancing and protecting business identity and reputation. Today it offers one of the largest capabilities for a business to list not just its basic name, address and phone number, but also critical details like hours of operation, and description that help raise the visibility of businesses online, and the Company will continue to lead the field with the largest profile available to the online local content publishers and data providers.
Name Dynamics recently opened new Headquarters in Charlotte, NC and has engaged industry experts in the United Kingdom and Canada with a view to its global expansion. The Company's executives will be making prominent appearances at industry conferences over the balance of the year and will make announcements about its additional offerings. The strategic direction of these valued services will provide Name Dynamics with the opportunity to shift its focus and tap into high growth market segments.
While our revenues are indicative of our early stage company, we are establishing a pipeline which should hopefully grow these revenues at a pace pleasing to our shareholders. The Company has shown steady revenue and customer growth over the past 18 months. It currently has over 200 Agencies and Affiliates referring customers to UBL.

Tugboat Ventures Leads Series A Round for Online Personal Debt Management Pioneer
SAN FRANCISCO, April 14 -- DebtGoal(TM) (corporate name GoalSpring Financial, Inc.), the leader in online personal debt management, announced that they have closed $2 million in Series A funding. Including an earlier seed round led by New Cycle Capital, this brings the total financing of the San Francisco-based company to approximately $3.1 million. Specific terms were not disclosed.
Tugboat Ventures of Palo Alto led the round and was joined by New Cycle Capital and Ed Ojdana, founder of FreeCreditReport.com. Ed Ojdana and Dave Whorton, a venture partner at Tugboat Ventures, recently joined the DebtGoal Board of Directors.
"We founded DebtGoal as the antidote to the personal credit crisis that millions of Americans have faced over the last two years," said DebtGoal CEO Scott Crawford. This latest investment will help us continue to grow and expand our debt management services."

Berkeley Varitronics Systems Bloodhound Cell Phone Detector 'Sniffs Out' Contraband Cell Phones in Maryland Prison
Five smuggled cell phones discovered during a two-hour sweep of Maryland's Department of Public Safety & Correctional Services facility
METUCHEN, N.J., and LONDON, April 14 -- Berkeley Varitronics Systems, Inc. (BVS), a leading provider of advanced wireless solutions and products to the domestic and international wireless telecommunications industry, recently showcased the Bloodhound Cell Detector at the GovSec Show in Washington, DC March 23rd.
A live Bloodhound demonstration at the show was made to Mr. Jay Miller, DOC IT Manager for Maryland's Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. A field trial was scheduled that same evening to fully test a Bloodhound in a Maryland correctional facility. A team of correctional officers was assembled to execute a cell phone detection operation during the evening hours of Tuesday, March 23, 2010 accompanied Mr. Miller.
Of the five confiscated cell phones, two were on active voice calls, one was being used for text messaging, and two were hidden on standby mode. One of the hidden phones was in a hollowed out brick covered by a capstone in a low wall that separates bunk areas in a dormitory. The second was inside an electrical box that had been covered with a solid utility plate that was held in place with security screws.
"It took only two hours to find five cell phones that were either in use at the time or hidden in the jail cells on standby mode ready to take calls," said Jay Miller.
"Based on these results we plan to place additional orders for the Bloodhound cell phone detector," added the Assistant Commissioner of the Maryland Division of Corrections, Mr. Gary Hornbaker.
As a wireless, handheld device, the Bloodhound is a safe, legal (Bloodhound does not use jamming which is a violation of FCC rules), quick and cost-effective way to monitor and pinpoint unauthorized cell phones within correctional facilities 24 hours a day. The complete Bloodhound unit costs $1,800, which is much less than other solutions that may require an entire network infrastructure to be installed. The device can also be utilized by any government agency or organization that wants to enforce a 'no wireless policy'. This can also include schools, hospitals, airliners, etc.
BVS will be showcasing the Bloodhound Cell Phone Detector (link to high res image and demo video) at the Counter Terrorism Expo 2010 April 14-15th at stand K20 in the United Kingdom.

Jive Announces the Next Generation of Jive Market Engagement
Only Jive Delivers Enterprise-Scale Social Media Monitoring, Engagement and now Ideation
PORTLAND, Ore., April 14 -- Company News
-- Jive, the Social Business Software leader, today announced the next
generation of the Jive Market Engagement solution.
-- Jive Market Engagement now includes:
-- Complete integration of Filtrbox technology, the powerful social
media monitoring software Jive acquired earlier this year.
Reflecting both companies' flexible architectures, the integration
was completed in less than 90 days.
-- Tight integration with the recently introduced Jive Ideation
module, enabling companies to tap the power of crowd-sourcing and
social networks to identify and nurture the best ideas.
Market Perspective
-- Today most enterprises have only focused on the role the social web
plays in brand disruptions. Even the most sophisticated use cases -
where companies have used the social web to promote products and build
the brand - fall short of truly engaging and driving the power of
real-time conversations.
-- Because of their complexity and cost, social media monitoring software
has been confined to a handful of power-users within an organization -
the social media "gurus." The rest of the organization is dependent
upon these individuals to filter, interpret and draw attention to key
trends and conversations.
-- Given the increasingly strategic role the social web is playing in
product development, customer service and support, a broader set of
users want and need easy, cost-effective access to social intelligence
in a way that feels as familiar and easy as Googling.
Product Detail
-- With Jive Market Engagement, companies can now harness the power of
the social web to change the way they develop products, go to market,
and engage with customers, prospects and brand influencers.
-- In addition, a broader set of users are now able to tap the power of
the social web, having instant and easy access to real time market
research, sentiment and idea generation. Now, brand owners, knowledge
workers and company spokespeople can identify key content and engage
with the social web - instead of relying on one or two social media
experts - quickly and easily.
-- Jive Market Engagement helps organizations proactively monitor brand
or product issues and competitive threats; enables quick collaboration
on appropriate responses or interventions; and elevates and broadens
the social conversations with a company. The solution provides
organizations a foundation for building a comprehensive social media
strategy:
-- Marketing teams use an integrated social media monitoring platform
to listen across the social web for real-time dialogue about and
around a brand. The monitoring platform locates these discussions
on blog posts, videos and photos, forums, mainstream online news,
and micromedia like FriendFeed and Twitter.
-- Using these findings, the right people can come together instantly
in a secure area, what Jive calls a "Market Space," to take action
in that moment of pain or opportunity. In addition to the
observations from the monitoring platform, users can bring in
observations from individual tweets, blogs, or other media into
the Market Space. This "war room" environment allows for rapid
decision-making from the right people within the organization.
-- These observations are then consolidated into market summary
reports, what Jive calls "Viewpoints." Viewpoints can be shared
broadly within an organization to foster collaboration and to
develop and implement appropriate responses. Jive Market
Engagement also provides the ability to analyze the effectiveness
of those responses.
Supporting Quote
-- "With Jive Market Engagement, business can finally put an end to the
unmanageable patchwork of alerts, people and email used to monitor the
social web," said Ben Kiker, Chief Marketing Officer for Jive. "Now,
people throughout an organization can listen, measure, engage and
share insights using a solution that's as familiar and easy to use as
Google or Facebook."
Product Availability
-- Jive Market Engagement is available now for existing and new Jive
customers.
-- Jive Ideation is available now for existing and new Jive customers.

D2S and JEOL Partner to Reduce Write Times for Advanced Photomask Production
D2S to Provide Design for E-beam (DFEB) Mask Technology for JEOL's JBX-3200MV System
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 13 -- D2S(TM), an emerging design and software company, today announced a partnership with fellow eBeam Initiative member JEOL Ltd. to provide a new mask data preparation (MDP) infrastructure that is optimized for JEOL's new JBX-3200MV mask writing system. JEOL, a world leader in electron optical equipment and instrumentation, will use D2S' patent-pending, model-based MDP technology for both variable-shaped beam (VSB) lithography and the newly-announced circular aperture option for its JBX-3200MV tool. Together, JEOL's system hardware and D2S DFEB mask technology will enable the use of circular main features and curvilinear assist features on advanced photomasks--essentially extending the use of optical lithography for 22-nanometer-and-below integrated circuit (IC) processing.
As the semiconductor industry migrates to the 22-nm node, the depth of focus of the contacts and vias become a large issue. Curvilinear assist features on photomasks aid in producing higher depth of focus. In addition, circular main features as the contacts and vias, instead of squares, helps with critical dimension uniformity, another important manufacturability criterion. Traditionally, higher mask costs resulting from increased shot counts have prevented curvilinear assist features and circular main features. D2S DFEB mask technology enables the connection between manufacturing and design to provide a solution that leverages the rounding nature of e-beams to significantly reduce shot count and write times for curvilinear assist features. JEOL's JBX-3200MV writer is equipped with circular apertures to shoot circular e-beam shots of various sizes efficiently. Together, photomasks with circular main features and curvilinear assist features can be shot efficiently. This allows masks of reasonable cost and yield to produce the best yielding wafers for the 22-nm logic node.
General Manager of Advanced Technology Department at HOYA Corporation, H. Kinoshita, noted, "We have been using JEOL's new JBX-3200MV system at our facility and have experienced positive results. We feel this system can help remove the e-beam roadblock for 22-nanometer-and-below nodes. As a result, our partnership with JEOL provides us with a cost-effective solution that enables our product roadmap for advanced photomask production."
General Manager of Semiconductor Equipment Business Operations at JEOL, W. Wakamiya, explained, "Our new JBX-3200MV system is an example where together with D2S' model-based MDP technology, we were able to produce a mask writer that is particularly suitable for the 22-nm node where circular main features and curvilinear assist features will become increasingly desirable. We value our partnership with D2S as we continue to develop cost-effective solutions for the production of advanced optical photomasks."
"This announcement is an example of how a fruitful partnership between design and manufacturing can advance the state of the art for mask-writing technology," stated Aki Fujimura, president and CEO of D2S. "To break down the barrier to using circles, it required both manufacturing and design working together. We look forward to working with JEOL and all of our global partners to provide innovations that bridge the gap between design and manufacturing with e-beam technologies to enable cost-effective optical lithography at future nodes."
At Photomask Japan 2010, eBeam Initiative members JEOL and D2S will present a paper titled "Best Depth of Focus on 22-nm Logic Wafers with Less Shot Count" on April 15, during the Mask-related Lithography session from 10:30-10:50 a.m. In addition, Initiative members JEOL, Petersen Advanced Lithography and D2S will present a paper titled "Writing 'Wavy' Metal 1 Shapes on 22-nm Logic Wafers with Less Shot Count" on April 15, during the EDA, DFM and MDP session from 11:10-11:30 a.m. Photomask Japan 2010 will be held April 13-15 at Pacifico Yokohama in Yokohama, Japan.
Both papers represent the first published examples of DFEB mask technology being successfully deployed on advanced photomasks in fewer shot counts and less write-time than traditional e-beam writing techniques. This demonstrates the ability of DFEB mask technology to help extend optical lithography to the 22-nm logic node in a practical manner.

Digital Signage Association, Self-Service & Kiosk Association Merge to form Digital Screenmedia Association
LAS VEGAS, April 13 -- The Digital Signage Association and the Self-Service & Kiosk Association have announced plans to merge and form a new organization called the Digital Screenmedia Association (DSA).
The Advisory Board of the Digital Signage Association agreed to the merger on April 6. The Self-Service & Kiosk Association Advisory Board voted in favor of merger during its meeting this morning, held in conjunction with KioskCom and The Digital Signage Show.
The Digital Signage Association, which in March announced its decision to incorporate as an independent 501(c)(6) non-profit organization, and the Self-Service & Kiosk Association had formed a merger discussion task force comprising members from both groups to deal with the many details involved before making the recommendation to its respective advisory boards.
With the approvals of both Advisory Boards, the new organization was filed with the state of Illinois as a non-profit trade association called Digital Screenmedia Association.
In addition to addressing the needs of the digital signage and self-service industries, the new association will look for ways to serve users, deployers, vendors, integrators, agencies and network operators in all areas of digital technology applied to audience engagement, including mobile services.
"Companies within the industry and end-users have continuously said that digital signage, while regarded as a powerful communications technology, is one component of an overall out-of-home digital media strategy," said Stuart Armstrong, president of EnQii North America and president of the Digital Signage Association. "As the leading industry association, it is our responsibility to pave the road ahead to enhance the success of our member companies and help educate and articulate an integrated value proposition. Replacing signage with 'screenmedia' to form Digital Sceenmedia Association is a major step in that direction. Couple that with bringing the strength of the SSKA under the same association and you have a tremendously powerful voice of 600-plus member companies to drive industry education, advocacy and networking."
Armstrong will serve as president of the Digital Screenmedia Association. Janet L. Webster, president of Creative Solutions Consulting and president of the Self-Service & Kiosk Association, will serve as an executive vice president in the new association.
"As an industry consultant focused in the area of strategic planning for self-service, I often have customers ask about solutions, not technology," said Webster. "My clients are focused on the customer experience and business outcomes. And, so, with a focus on an integrated view of digital screen media solutions, the new DSA will give members easy and comprehensive access to a broad spectrum of industry professionals, users/deployers, as well as an extensive range of self-service solutions providers."
"What's interesting is that board members from the two associations, independent of each another, made the suggestion that we consider a merger," said David Drain, who serves as executive director for both associations. "Once we brought members from each association together on a task force, things moved really quickly with general agreement after the first meeting that it made a lot of sense to merge the two groups to better serve the marketplace and speak with a stronger voice."
"Since I thrive on innovation, I was excited to hear about the launch the new Digital Screenmedia Association," commented Alex Richardson, managing director of Selling Machine Partners. "In my cross-channel practice for worldwide retailers, I recommend, purchase and install hundreds of digital screens, kiosks and mobility solutions for their stores and wholesale partners. The merger of the DSA and SSKA simplifies my life by offering an easier way for me to find relevant best practices and a single source of suppliers for my global projects."
Brian Ardinger, SVP and chief marketing officer for Nanonation, said: "We are excited to be an active participant in the new Digital Screenmedia Association. The convergence of technologies from digital signage to kiosks to mobile are driving today's customer experiences. It's important to have an industry association that's dedicated to addressing these multifaceted needs and one that can bring together the leadership, tools, training, and insights required to help businesses thrive in a challenging and ever-changing marketing landscape."
"The creation of the Digital Screenmedia Association makes a lot of sense to our company," said Scott Falso, director of OEM marketing for Seneca Data. "We see many similarities in the technologies utilized in what I now refer to as 'screen media' markets. Rich-media content, dynamic messaging and interactivity, including mobile applications, are extremely influential methods to engage customers. The Digital Screenmedia Association umbrella allows experts in each of these areas to come together."
"The merger of the Self-Service & Kiosk Association and the Digital Signage Association is the right move at the right time," said Cortlandt Johnson, kiosk services sales leader of IBM Global Services. "Users are now looking for solutions that address digital signage, interactive kiosks and mobile devices and need an integrated digital screen media strategy. The new Digital Screenmedia Association will be a larger, more influential association that will be a stronger force in driving market growth for everyone involved."
NetWorld Alliance, publisher of this website, founded the organizations and has managed them until now.
Dick Good, CEO of NetWorld, said, "We are very proud of the growth of the associations, and have been thrilled to play a part in their maturation. We look forward to supporting their continued success in whatever way we can."

Aerojet Solid Rocket Motor Propels Successful PAC-3 MSE Flight Test Intercept
SACRAMENTO, Calif., April 13 -- Aerojet, a GenCorp (NYSE:GY) company, announced today that it provided the advanced Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) propulsion that propelled Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control's (LMMFC) successful PATRIOT Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) Guided Test Flight - 1B (GTF-1B). This mission was the first successful guided flight test for the MSE interceptor where a target simulating a tactical ballistic missile was intercepted in the MSE extended battlespace.
The PAC-3 MSE spiral development program is being managed by the U.S. Army's Lower Tier Project Office (LTPO) in Huntsville, Ala. The program is significantly expanding the capability of the already battle-proven PAC-3 missile by giving the interceptor more range and maneuverability against faster and more sophisticated ballistic and cruise missiles. The MSE propulsion system is an advanced two-pulse motor that provides energy management as a key element of the expanded interceptor capability and is currently undergoing qualification at the Aerojet Camden, Ark. facility.
Launched from White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) in New Mexico, the PAC-3 MSE GTF-1B flight builds on a series of recent ground tests of MSE SRM performance and a successful CTF-B (Controlled Test Flight - B) flight test conducted in 2008.
Aerojet also provides 180 Attitude Control Motors (ACM's) used on each PAC-3 and PAC-3 MSE interceptor for fly-out maneuvering and hit-to-kill agility, and an advanced Lethality Enhancer (LE) for the MSE interceptor. "The advanced high-performance MSE pulse motor represents a significant capability upgrade to the battle-proven PAC-3 system," said Aerojet's Vice President for Tactical Programs, John Myers. "This GTF-1B success further validates the maturity of our pulse motor propulsion technology. Aerojet is pleased to be part of the Army LTPO and Lockheed Martin team in providing this noteworthy enhancement to our warfighters."

Twelve Major Broadcast Groups to Form Joint Venture to Develop National Mobile Content Service
LAS VEGAS, April 13 -- Belo Corp., Cox Media Group, E.W. Scripps Co., Fox, Gannett Broadcasting, Hearst Television Inc., ION Television, Media General Inc., Meredith Corp., NBC, Post-Newsweek Stations Inc. and Raycom Media today announced plans to form a standalone joint venture to develop a new national mobile content service. Utilizing existing broadcast spectrum, the service will allow member companies to provide content to mobile devices, including live and on-demand video, local and national news from print and electronic sources, as well as sports and entertainment programming.
Broadcast spectrum to be utilized for the new mobile service will come from the three owned-and-operated station groups -- Fox, NBC & Telemundo, and ION -- and the nine local broadcast groups, which are Belo, Cox, E.W. Scripps, Gannett, Hearst, Media General, Meredith, Post Newsweek and Raycom. Separately, these nine local broadcast companies formed Pearl Mobile DTV Company LLC as a vehicle for their involvement in the venture.
By aggregating existing broadcast spectrum from its launch partners, the new venture will have the capacity to offer a breadth of mobile video and print content to nearly 150 million U.S. residents. In addition to broadcast spectrum, the partners will commit content, marketing resources and capital to the new venture. The service will employ ATSC-M/H, an open broadcast transmission system developed by the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) specifically for mobile devices.
The venture is designed to complement the Federal Communication Commission's (FCC) National Broadband Initiative by giving consumers mobile access to video content while reducing congestion of the nation's wireless broadband infrastructure. In addition, the service's mobile content network will have the capacity to deliver local and national time-sensitive emergency information to citizens across the U.S.
Regarding the announcement, Jack Abernethy, Chief Executive Officer of Fox Television Stations, stated: "We are excited about building a platform that makes mobile television universally available and economically viable. This venture is the first step in forging cross-industry and company partnerships to deliver content to consumers."
"This initiative offers a path for the next generation of video consumption, and will help the FCC in its goal of ensuring efficient and reliable broadband service for US consumers," said John Wallace, President, NBC Local Media.
"Local broadcasters are the backbone of the U.S. media industry," said David J. Barrett, President and CEO of Hearst Television Inc. "This sharing of content, broadcast spectrum, marketing resources and capital is unprecedented, and underscores U.S. broadcasters' commitment to bringing vital local news, weather, and emergency information to increasingly mobile U.S. consumers. This is a critically important initiative that holds great promise for our audiences and the television industry. This is truly the next generation of local television service."
"This venture takes to the next level the work we embarked upon three years ago with the development of Mobile DTV technology, in anticipation of digital TV capabilities and consumer mobile demand," said Brandon Burgess, CEO of ION Television.
"Mobile digital television places each of our companies at the center of a consumer transformation, putting us on cell phones, netbooks, DVD players and even in-vehicle entertainment systems," said David Lougee, President, Gannett Broadcasting, Gannett Co. Inc. "And it's the consumers who are the big winners. From news and entertainment to emergency information, virtually all U.S. consumers will soon be able to bring their most valuable content with them wherever they go."
Information regarding a dedicated management team that will focus on securing additional content, spectrum and distribution partnerships for the venture will be made available at a later date.

Earth Day Turns 40, the Electric Bicycle Turns 115
SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 13 -- More than one billion people in 190 countries will be taking action for Earth Day 2010. ELV Motors, Inc is doing its part by offering practical and affordable zero emission vehicles in the form of electric bicycles.
Every year a growing number of people help expand Earth Day from once a year to once a week. They might start out by leaving the car at home once a week and use an electric bike to commute to school or work or a folding electric bike to get you to and from mass transit. Some folks go even further and make every day Earth Day by trading in their car for a solar charging system for their entire home.
"We have found electric bicycles are one of the few products that appeal to 16 through 86 year olds, to both women and men, and with an economic range from unemployed without a license to billionaires with private planes and yachts," stated Douglas Schwartz, CEO & founder of ELV Motors, Inc. based in Silicon Valley.
Like cars, electric bikes come in all shapes, sizes, power, and price range. The choices abound and thoughtful selection is the key to buying the perfect electric bike for your size, age, budget and application. Electric bikes give consumers the option of riding in power mode or peddling like a traditional bike.
"If small size and light weight is important for commuting, carrying upstairs, or using with an RV, boat or plane, I suggest a folding electric bike from VeloMini. If price is king, then Currie's EZip line could be a good choice. If cruising in comfort is important then a beach cruiser with balloon tires from Pedego is the way to go.
"For riding in style to work, school or on the trails, Ultra Motor would be my recommendation. Hebb Bikes makes an excellent daily commuter and Electric Motion System is my recommendation for steep hills, the need for speed or for large or heavy riders," Schwartz explained.

Telecommunication Operators Launch Afghanistan Telecommunication Operators' Association
KABUL, April 13 -- The telecommunications operators of Afghanistan, Afghan Telecom, Afghan Wireless Communications Company, Etisalat, MTN and Roshan, today announced the launch of the Afghanistan Telecommunication Operators' Social Association (ATOSA), a forum through which operators can collectively work together to provide the people of Afghanistan with high-quality and reliable telecommunications services. The Association will collaborate closely with the Government of Afghanistan to ensure the continued growth and success of the telecommunications sector in the country.
"The launch of ATOSA is an important development for the telecommunications sector. The mobile market in Afghanistan is one of the fastest growing in the world. Such growth is predicated on a public-private partnership and framework between the Government of Afghanistan and its private sector partners that should set an example for encouraging investment, private sector participation and ultimately delivery for our citizens in other sectors of the economy," said His Excellency Amirzai Sangin, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
The telecommunications industry is one of Afghanistan's major success stories, providing vital services to the Afghan people. Today, over 10 million Afghans have access to telecommunication services compared to 20,000 in 2001; service reaches more than 80% of the population, approximately 23 million people. The telecommunications industry has spurred growth in a number of industries, including the financial, trade, agriculture, health, security and technology sectors.
ATOSA will also provide a forum through which operators can constructively raise and address issues of common concern, including security and predictability in the policy environment. In addition, the Association will work to improve relations with other industries and sectors in Afghanistan to encourage a cooperative reconstruction effort.
"The telecommunication operators of Afghanistan are committed to building on growth in the sector in a manner which is transparent and conducive to creating an enabling environment for the private sector throughout Afghanistan. We will work with the Government of Afghanistan, Parliament and the Afghanistan Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (ATRA), to continue to play a significant role in developing the country. The telecommunications sector has and will continue to be a catalyst, enabling people to access information, pricing, conduct business, but most of all talk to each other. ATOSA looks forward to supporting growth in the years ahead as we focus on extending coverage into rural areas," said Najibullah Kamali, President, ATOSA.
Since 2001, the industry has played a significant role in developing the country, creating over 100,000 indirect jobs and investing over USD $1.2 billion in building a national telephone network for the first time in Afghanistan's history. The industry is the largest tax paying sector in Afghanistan with an estimated USD $500 million paid in taxes, duties and fees to the Government of Afghanistan since 2003, representing over 10% of all domestically generated Government revenues in the same period.

St. Aidan's Anglican Girls' School Enjoys the Reliability and Mobility of a Xirrus 802.11n Network
Xirrus was selected by St. Aidan's for Their Ability to Provide A Robust Network with Fewer Devices Than Any Other Vendor
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., April 13 -- Xirrus®, the Wi-Fi "Power Play" that delivers the most coverage, bandwidth, and user density in the industry, announced today the deployment of Xirrus high performance 802.11n Wi-Fi Arrays across both campuses of St. Aidan's Anglican Girls' School in Corinda, Brisbane, Australia. As an all girls school with 840 students from preschool through year 12, St. Aidan's aims to provide the best possible educational environment for individual growth and goal realization. As part of this endeavor, the school chose to deploy Xirrus Wi-Fi Arrays so the students could enjoy mobility, reliability, and large amounts of bandwidth when connecting to the wireless network campus-wide.
Dean Downs, Director of ICT at St. Aidan's Anglican Girls' School explains their need for wireless, "We have moved to a 1-to-1 environment in Year 9 to 12. The issue for us was how to provide access to all the students as demand for technology kept growing across the teaching faculties. The only solution really was to go with a portable device that every student could take with them as our computer lab spaces were already pretty saturated and we didn't have any more rooms to convert. We have a SharePoint environment as well for web 2.0 applications, so the choice to move to a wireless environment was very much driven by the fact that the hardware we needed was a portable device that needed to be wirelessly enabled."
Dean continued by explaining his reasons for choosing Xirrus, "We were drawn to the density of the Xirrus Array as they allow us to simply place something in one location to cover a large area. What I wanted to do was provide the best user experience for the kids and placing a device like the Xirrus Wi-Fi Array in the center of four classrooms allows each device the opportunity to take a 300meg connection and really get a fantastic user experience as opposed to sharing a smaller bandwidth. TechMedia Advertising Report Issued by Emissary Capital Group
NEW YORK, April 13 -- Emissary Capital Group has issued a report on TechMedia Advertising, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: TECM) , a fast growing India-based new media technology solutions provider.
With demand for new and creative advertising avenues outstripping that of traditional forms, we believe prospects remain high for Chennai, India-based TechMedia Advertising, a company that went public onto the bulletin board via a reverse merger in August 2009. Through its soon to be completed joint venture with Peacock Media Ltd. India - one of India's fastest growers in the Out-Of-Home (OOH) media segment and leader in fixed-print advertisements (http://www.peacockmedia.in) - the company holds a first mover advantage offering scalable digital out-of-home (DOOH) media content to India's growing consumer class. DOOH is currently the world's fastest growing advertising medium, combining the sound and movement of audio-visual communication with highly visible outdoor electronic display advertisements regularly mounted in elevators, stores, malls, airports and transit shelters. In India, DOOH is well in its infancy, valued at less than $20 million or a mere fraction of the OOH space. The company's digital content network management system is the only such system in India to combine software and hardware capable of delivering content - commercials, news, sports, movies, etc. - to LCD, LED and plasma screens in fixed locations through both wired network and wireless networks.
The initial roll out is taking hold on trans-provincial long-distance buses in Tamil Nadu's capital city of Chennai, India's fourth most populous metropolitan region and the second largest exporter of software, IT and IT-enabled services. The southern state of Tamil Nadu is the fifth largest contributor to India's GDP and the most urbanized state in the country with the highest number of business enterprises.
About TechMedia Advertising, Inc.
TechMedia Advertising, Inc. plans to specialize in new outdoor media technology solutions designed to increase market presence and brand awareness for our potential clients. Going beyond the borders of traditional advertising media, the company proposes solutions to generate greater impact amidst the noise of the evolving market. The company expects to sell prime advertising space both in high-traffic as well as previously unexplored areas. The company plans to successfully carry our advertisers' message through the right channels and bring their point right to their chosen target consumers within the region. AT&T to Deploy First Standards-Based HD-SDI Switching Capability to Distribute Contribution Video
AT&T's Intelligent Layer 1 Optical Network Combines with Next Generation Video Transport Technology
LAS VEGAS, April 13 -- AT&T* today announced plans to deploy the industry's first standards-based High Definition-SDI video transport and switching network capability designed for the professional broadcast marketplace and customers using AT&T's Global Video Services.
The new feature will combine AT&T's ultra fast, self-healing SONET optical network with next-generation video transport technology based on JPEG2000 compression standards. It will support HD-SDI at rates between 75Mb and 400Mb along with SD-SDI at 24Mb to 150Mb.
Following a successful pilot program in January, AT&T expects to start delivering the feature utilizing JPEG2000 compression capabilities beginning 3Q 2010 in major metropolitan areas across North America.
"This enhancement to our AT&T Global Video Services portfolio will enable broadcast customers to take advantage of a cost-effective, high availability, high quality compression process for migrating to next generation video services such as 3D and higher-quality HD," said Sanford Brown, vice president, AT&T Connectivity and Metro Network Services. "AT&T has the ability to reach many media outlets on a global scale with a high level of network redundancy and resiliency -- and now with JPEG2000 compression technology planned -- for an unparalleled viewing experience."
The new capability will provide something that broadcasters, content providers and production studios have been looking for -- innovative and cost-effective access to higher bit rate video services over reliable delivery methods. It is designed to help these businesses improve the viewing experience for consumers demanding video over traditional cable television in addition to new endpoints such as mobile phones and the Internet.
What's more, it will address broadcasters' needs to incorporate JPEG2000 compression technology while having to balance capital outlays for the necessary compression equipment with pressures on advertising revenues. Delivering high quality compression technology through AT&T's network can allow broadcast customers to focus more dollars around reaching more locations to generate more advertising dollars.
Cautionary Language Concerning Forward-Looking Statements
Information set forth in this press release contains financial estimates and other forward-looking statements that are subject to risks and uncertainties, and actual results might differ materially. A discussion of factors that may affect future results is contained in AT&T's filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. AT&T disclaims any obligation to update and revise statements contained in this news release based on new information or otherwise.

Verizon Offers 10 Tech Tips for Being Greener by Earth Day
NEW YORK, April 13 -- Thanks to today's broadband and wireless technologies, being green has never been easier. With the approach of Earth Day, which will be observed on April 22, here are 10 ways technology can help people reduce their carbon footprint:
1. Recycle cell phones that are no longer used. Donating these phones to
the Verizon Wireless HopeLine® program will keep batteries out of
landfills and help generate funds to assist domestic violence
survivors.
2. Telecommute when possible. Whether it's one day a week or once a month,
working from home and using broadband connections, like Verizon's
ultra-fast FiOS Internet or reliable High-Speed Internet services, can
help reduce traffic congestion, trim your fuel bill, and reduce GHG
emissions while adding time to your day.
3. Go paperless. In 2009, Verizon customers replaced 110 million paper
bills with online bills, saving 2,866 tons of paper. By opting to
receive monthly bills electronically, Verizon wireline and wireless
customers helped save the equivalent of 68,793 trees.
4. Use video conferencing instead of travel. (One flight between New York
and Los Angeles produces 1,600 pounds of CO2 per person.) Verizon
employees held more than 8,000 virtual meetings in 2009, saving the
equivalent of taking nearly 700 passenger cars off the road for a
year.
5. Get the Go Green App. Verizon Wireless customers can find out their
Green IQ, take quizzes and learn about taking simple steps to become
more environmentally conscious.
6. Shop online using a high-speed Internet connection instead of making a
trip to the mall for a single item.
7. Movie Night at Home. Watch a movie with a theater-like experience by
using Verizon FiOS TV's video-on-demand service instead of driving to
rent a movie.
8. Need a new light bulb? Opt for a compact fluorescent bulb, which cuts
carbon emissions and outlasts conventional light bulbs.
9. Use a mapping tool, such as VZ Navigator, to find the most direct route
to your destination to help save on fuel.
10. Visit the Environmental Protection Agency's Web site to learn about
additional steps you can take at home, work or school to help protect
the environment (http://www.epa.gov/). Or visit Verizon Thinkfinity
(http://www.thinkfinity.org), a free educational Web site, to find a host of
free educational resources to teach children about environmental
stewardship.
"When it comes to reducing carbon emissions, small steps add up," said James Gowen, chief sustainability officer for Verizon. "Every day, we're discovering new ways that Verizon's ultra-fast broadband and wireless networks help our customers reduce their carbon footprints."
Verizon is committed to finding practical and innovative ways to increase energy efficiency and bolster conservation efforts. In 2009, Verizon's aggressive energy reduction measures reduced the company's CO2 emissions by more than 793 million pounds, approximately the amount of CO2 emitted by 46,700 homes in a year. The company also improved its rate of emissions per million dollars in revenue to 60.2 metric tons of CO2 in 2009, from 64.4 metric tons in 2008.
Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ)(NASDAQ:VZ), headquartered in New York, is a global leader in delivering broadband and other wireless and wireline communications services to mass market, business, government and wholesale customers. Verizon Wireless operates America's most reliable wireless network, serving more than 91 million customers nationwide. AT&T Enhances Its Digital Media Solutions Portfolio With New Features That Expand Content Management and Delivery Capabilities
AT&T Will Offer Video Creation and Publishing Services from iStreamPlanet
DALLAS, April 13 -- AT&T* today announced enhancements to AT&T Digital Media Solutions(SM), its suite of content management and delivery capabilities, with new features that include the ability to dynamically adapt video delivery for a better viewing experience. The enhancements expand the capabilities of the AT&T Digital Media Solutions portfolio to help companies package, deliver and distribute video and rich multimedia Web content across their communications networks.
In addition, AT&T announced an agreement with iStreamPlanet to expand the range services supporting video creation and publishing. AT&T will offer iStreamPlanet's Director, Presenter and Managed Live Broadcasting and Professional Services including content acquisition, encoding into all media formats, inclusive of the latest adaptive streaming formats, design and development of rich media experiences, and project management.
With the consumption of rich multimedia content and video on the Web growing exponentially, businesses require resources to deliver compelling content to end users, while managing their IT investments to drive additional revenue and productivity. Now, AT&T Digital Media Solutions supports Adobe® Flash® Media Interactive Server 3.5, allowing customers to take advantage of adaptive bit rate streaming technology, which dynamically adjusts video delivery for an optimized viewing experience for the end user.
"Whether it's at work or at home, people are consuming increasing amounts of rich Internet-delivered content. And it's not just sports, news or amateur video. Corporations are increasingly making rich digital media content central to their businesses to enhance communications," said Sam Farraj, assistant vice president of product marketing for AT&T. "We're continuing to invest in and expand our digital media management capabilities to benefit our customers and simplify their ability to monetize, manage and deliver their content in a highly-secure effective and efficient manner," he said.
AT&T is finalizing a content download manager that is designed to cater to the rapidly increasing demand for controlled electronic software delivery. This feature is designed to accelerate the download process and give customers distributing large files the ability to allow their users to pause and restart the process, reducing abandonment rates which may result from dropped connections or system crashes. The download manager will ensure that files are delivered with complete integrity and includes a reporting function to provide detail such as the number of downloads, success rates and completion verification.
Because of the reach and depth of its global network, AT&T is uniquely positioned to deliver and manage content better- with the security that companies want in today's virtual environments.
In addition to the services announced today, AT&T's Digital Media Solutions portfolio offers a host of content management and distribution, broadcast video and digital signage services and solutions. Individual services can be combined with a broad range of services designed to address rich media distribution needs for mid- to large enterprise customers.
AT&T has the most eyeballs of any U.S. content delivery provider and as of December 31, 2009, AT&T had:
-- more than 17.3 million high speed Internet subscribers.
-- 85+ million wireless subscribers
-- owns and operates the nation's largest Wi-Fi network, and offers
access to more than 125,000 Wi-Fi hot spots in 79 countries (through
roaming agreements.)
-- 2+ million U-verse subscribers
AT&T's routing and access infrastructure within its global Internet Protocol network today reaches countries representing 99 percent of the world economy. As a result, AT&T can deliver content quickly and reliably to companies, while monitoring details such as performance, congestion and other activities to the destination end-users.
What's more, AT&T's network also has security built in to every layer from network transport through end-user application and is supported by 1,500-plus security experts and support professionals. Because AT&T's content delivery services are built into its network fabric, security is implemented at every layer, enabling AT&T to predicatively and proactively detect and repel malicious activity.
