EGC announced that Lee Cole and Anna Houssels have resigned from the board of directors. Ms. Houssels has also resigned from her position as Executive Vice President of EGC. MIAMI, April 8 -- For those who have swooned over Celebrity Cruises' stylish new Solstice-class ships since their introduction in 2008, the year 2011 will be the summer of love. Inspired by its new brand platform, "Designed for you," Celebrity Cruises has created a destination line-up for the summer of 2011 that will place all four of its Solstice-class ships - including Celebrity Silhouette, which will set sail next year - in Europe at the same time, for the first time.
The move marks the return of the widely lauded Celebrity Solstice - the class's flagship vessel - to Europe. Celebrity's 2011 Europe season also will include a series of new seven-night Mediterranean voyages on Celebrity Constellation, which will undergo a series of refreshments inspired by the Solstice-class vessels, later this month. When Celebrity Cruises' 2011-12 Alaska season opens for sale on Tuesday, April 13, cruisers will find more opportunities to enjoy the breathtaking scenery from the privacy of their stateroom verandas. In addition to the expanded number of veranda staterooms, the 1,814-guest vessel's 2006 "makeover" also included the unveiling of Murano, Celebrity's popular European-style specialty restaurant, and the first "ice" Martini Bar at sea. Visiting Juneau, Icy Strait Point, Ketchikan, and cruising by the awe-inspiring Hubbard Glacier, the cruises sail roundtrip out of Vancouver from May to September. Celebrity Infinity will continue to offer seven-night Tracy Arm Fjord cruises roundtrip out of Seattle, Washington, from May to September of 2011. The itinerary also will include calls at Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway, Alaska, as well as a cruise through the Alaska Inside Passage. Bookending Celebrity Infinity's seven-night pattern will be two 10-night Ultimate Alaska voyages roundtrip out of Seattle on May 10 and September 16.
Building on the popularity of past years, Celebrity Millennium will present seven-night alternating northbound and southbound cruises between Vancouver and Seward, Alaska, from May to early September. The iPhone OS 4 beta release includes an updated Software Development Kit (SDK) with over 1,500 new Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and over 100 new features that will be available to iPhone and iPod touch® users this summer. New features include Multitasking for third party apps; Folders to better organize and access apps; improved Mail with a unified inbox, fast inbox switching and threaded messages; enhanced Enterprise support with even better data protection, mobile device management, wireless app distribution and more; Apple's new iAd mobile advertising platform; and iBooks, the delightful new ebook reader and online bookstore recently debuted on the iPad(TM).
"iPhone OS 4 is the fourth major release of the world's most advanced mobile operating system," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. iPhone OS 4's new multitasking offers users a new way to quickly move between apps, and provides developers seven new multitasking services to easily add multitasking features to their apps. These services include background audio, so apps like Pandora can play music in the background, and VoIP, so VoIP apps can receive a VoIP call even when the iPhone is asleep or the user is running other apps. iPhone OS 4 provides multitasking to third party apps while preserving battery life and foreground app performance, which has until now proved elusive on mobile devices.
Folders help users better organize and quickly access their apps. Simply drag one app icon onto another, and a new folder is automatically created. The folder is automatically given a name based on the App Store category of that app, such as "Games," which the user can easily rename. Using folders, users can now organize and access over 2,000 apps on their iPhone. Users can also create and manage iPhone folders on their Mac® or PC using iTunes® 9.2.
iPhone OS 4 delivers the best mail experience on a mobile phone with its new Unified Inbox, allowing users to see messages from all their email accounts displayed together in a single inbox. With just a few taps, users can quickly switch between inboxes to see messages from any single account. In addition, users can now thread their messages by conversation, making it easier to stay on top of email discussions, as well as open email attachments with compatible apps from the App Store.
iAd, Apple's new mobile advertising platform, combines the emotion of TV ads with the interactivity of web ads. Today, when users click on mobile ads they are almost always taken out of their app to a web browser, which loads the advertiser's webpage. Users must then navigate back to their app, and it is often difficult or impossible to return to exactly where they left. iAd solves this problem by displaying full-screen video and interactive ad content without ever leaving the app, and letting users return to their app anytime they choose. iPhone OS 4 lets developers easily embed iAd opportunities within their apps, and the ads are dynamically and wirelessly delivered to the device. Apple will sell and serve the ads, and developers will receive an industry-standard 60 percent of iAd revenue.
The iPhone OS 4 beta release includes a developer preview of Game Center, which contains a set of APIs that allows developers to create apps with the ability to invite friends to play a game, start a multiplayer game through matchmaking and track achievements and compare high scores on a leader board. Apps created with GameKit APIs will work with Game Center, Apple's new social gaming network available to iPhone and iPod touch users later this year.
New enterprise features in iPhone OS 4 include improvements in security, scalability and compatibility. The new Mobile Device Management service can be integrated with third party servers to wirelessly configure, query and even wipe or lock managed iPhones, and iPhone OS 4 enables enterprises to securely host and wirelessly distribute their own in-house developed apps to employees. The new Data Protection feature uses a user's passcode as an encryption key to protect mail messages and attachments stored on the iPhone. iPhone OS 4 now provides the option to set a longer, more complex passcode, making iPhone and its data even more secure. iPhone OS 4 allows IT managers to set up multiple Exchange ActiveSync accounts, is compatible with Exchange Server 2010 and includes support for forthcoming SSL VPN applications from Juniper Networks and Cisco.

REDMOND, Wash., April 8 -- Microsoft Corp. today announced that at the 2010 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show next week, it will showcase new products and initiatives that make it easier for content owners and broadcasters to reach consumers across multiple screens with the highest quality Microsoft Silverlight media experiences, using a single runtime platform, server infrastructure and free programming frameworks. The company announced it is working with system-on-chip (SOC) partners Intel Corporation and Broadcom Corp. to deliver support for reference designs that will provide the complete Silverlight platform to set-top boxes, connected TVs, Blu-ray Disc players and other consumer devices. Microsoft also unveiled details about Internet Information Services (IIS) Media Services 4 and announced the upcoming release of Silverlight Media Framework 2.0.
At NAB, Microsoft will demonstrate how Silverlight for SOCs will enable consumer electronics manufacturers to deliver native Silverlight support in future products. This means that content owners can deliver high-definition programming to the living room with all the benefits of Silverlight and IIS Smooth Streaming, such as adaptive bitrate streaming over standard Internet connections, DVR-like capabilities, and support for Microsoft PlayReady digital rights management, on Broadcom BCM7420- and Intel CE4100-based devices for the connected home. A single Silverlight platform means that developers and content owners can develop one experience that can be consumed across a multitude of devices.

Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 to be integrated into IIS Media

In addition, Microsoft will deliver the IIS Smooth Streaming Client 1.0, which provides advanced playback functionality; and the IIS Smooth Streaming Format Software Development Kit 1.0 and IIS Smooth Streaming Porting Kit 1.0, which enable third parties to add Smooth Streaming support to their products.

Create Compelling Media Experiences Fast; Full Integration With Analytics Providers
At NAB, Microsoft will also showcase how Silverlight Media Framework 2.0 can simplify and speed the creation of rich media experiences with Silverlight. Based on the Silverlight player used for the 2010 Winter Olympics by NBCOlympics.com, Canada's CTV and Norway's NRK, the Silverlight Media Framework will enable content providers to rapidly create compelling media experiences with almost no coding. Released under a Microsoft open source license, the Silverlight Media Framework can be used and extended by third-party developers without royalties or fees.
Microsoft also announced partner support for Silverlight Analytics Framework, a framework for integrating business intelligence analytics into Silverlight applications. COMEDY CENTRAL(R) Renews Hit Series 'Tosh.0' for a Third Season
The Second Season Of "Tosh.0" Continues With 16 New Episodes Beginning On Wednesday, June 2 At 10:30 P.M. ET/PT With Charlie Siskel Tapped As Executive Producer
NEW YORK, April 8 -- Daniel Tosh takes his acerbically twisted comedy and his love-hate relationship with the Web to the next level as COMEDY CENTRAL orders a third season of the weekly hit series "Tosh.0," it was announced today by Kent Alterman, head of original programming and production COMEDY CENTRAL. The third season of "Tosh.0" will consist of at least 29 episodes and premiere on Wednesday, January 12 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.
"Tosh.0" is currently in its second season which consists of 25 episodes (nine aired from January 13 through March 10, 2010) with new episodes returning on Wednesday, June 2 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT helmed by newly appointed executive producer Charlie Siskel. The second season of "Tosh.0" is averaging 1.8 million total viewers and is the most watched show in its timeslot among Men 18-24 and Men 18-34. Since the first season, ratings have enjoyed a meteoric rise in the following demos: Persons 18-49: +83%; Men 18-34 +85%; Men 18-24 +84%.
The multi-platform hit has also resonated among viewers on the Web - following him on Twitter, becoming a fan of the show on Facebook and flocking to the "Tosh.0" blog, which has grown into one of COMEDY CENTRAL's most-visited properties with an average of 660K Unique Visitors per month (Source: Omniture SiteCatalyst). Even when the show is on hiatus, fans of "Tosh.0" continue to seek out the blog's original content, including the current "Casual Bracket 2010," a challenge to nominate Tosh's next signature wardrobe choice when the show returns this summer to which Tosh will almost certainly pay no heed.

Each episode features the segment "Web Redemption," which gives subjects of infamous viral videos (i.e. Phillies Fan and Make It Snow Girl) a second chance to redeem themselves from the embarrassment with which they've become synonymous.
Recently, Tosh inked a multi-level deal with COMEDY CENTRAL to shoot an original one-hour stand-up special which will air in 4Q to be subsequently released with extended material on DVD and CD. He will also embark on a national stand-up tour which will kick-off in the fall. Tosh has a long history with COMEDY CENTRAL having hosted the network's "Live at Gotham" stand-up series and performed on "Premium Blend" and "Friday Night Stand-Up."
