4107xX conduction-cooled XMC graphics card with OpenCL support.
Based on the AMD E8860 GPU and designed for seamless integration with VPX single board
computers (SBCs), the low-power, SWaP-optimized Condor 4107xX XMC graphics/video card
provides 3G-SDI video capture capability with dual 3G-SDI video inputs and outputs on the
rear XMC I/O connector. The 3G-SDI interface has several advantages. It supports the HDTV
resolution (1080p) at the full refresh rate of 60 Hz. It can also carry video up to 100
meters on thin coaxial cables that are far smaller and lighter compared with RGB and DVI
interfaces.

The AMD GPU on the Condor 4107xX supports OpenGL, DirectX, and OpenCL and can be used
for high-performance GPGPU applications. This enables developers to capture video data
from a camera or other SDI source, perform video tracking or analysis on the data using
the GPU, and then send the 3G-SDI video to a compatible display device.
Applications can access video streams in the form of raw frames for processing, 360
stitching, frame/video analysis, compression, or video streaming. All decoding, scaling,
video combining, and format conversions can be performed in the GPU with minimal impact on
the CPU.

Baidu and Inspur Build Heterogeneous Acceleration Platform to Facilitate the Development of Driverless Cars
BEIJING, May 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Chinese IT manufacturer Inspur announced recently that its NF5568M4 server has been selected by internet giant Baidu to provide hardware support for the deep learning platform of Baidu's driverless car. Deep learning is one of the core areas of driverless technology.
In December 2015, Baidu's driverless car passed the road test starting from the Baidu Tower in Zhongguancun High-tech Park in Beijing, driving onto the G7 Beijing-Xinjiang Expressway, through the Fifth Ring Road and reaching Olympic Forest Park, and back.
The driverless technology adopted throughout the course included decelerating, lane switching, overtaking, going on and off ramps and turning around. The car passed each of these testing criteria and reached a top speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
Another core technology in driverless cars is image sensing and recognition and Baidu's car is able to accurately sense objects and pedestrians, even effectively following traffic lights and avoiding accidents.
Image recognition is a super large computing project, which requires hundreds of thousands -- in some cases even billions -- of learning samples to train a model. A GPU made up of thousands of smaller and more energy-saving cores has therefore become the main force for the application of image recognition training.

The devices, developed specifically to enable prototyping of space systems, enable lower cost prototyping and design validation activities for the latest radiation-tolerant high-speed FPGAs.
