Processor and the NGCodec H.265/HEVC encoder that allow the two IP components to be

video quality combined with a lower bitrate. It achieves this by detecting visually

ProTek Devices' Adds New Series to its High Power Surface Mount Package TVS Components

The SM30KPAN Series Provides 30,000 Watts Peak Pulse Power Dissipation for Relay Drives, Motors and Other Applications

TEMPE, Ariz., Feb. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ProTek Devices has introduced its SM30KPAN series of high-powered surface mount transient voltage suppressor (TVS) components to provide circuit protection from overvoltage events in applications that include relay drives and motor (start/stop) back electromagnetic fields (EMF). The components also deliver module lightning protection and secondary lightning protection for AC/DC power lines.

This series consists of various components, from SM30KPA30AN to SM30KPA75AN, that make up the family. They have rated stand-off voltages from 30.0 to 75.0 volts to suit a wide variety of design requirements. The devices provide 30,000 watts of peak pulse power dissipation for a 10/1000 micro amps waveform. They are also compatible with IEC 61000-4-5 (surge): 48A, 8/20 micro amps - L3 (line-ground), L4 (line-line) and L1 (power). The components allow unidirectional and bidirectional configurations as well as easy mounting to a printed circuit board. The clamping time is < 100ps theoretical for unidirectional and 5ns for bidirectional. The series is RoHS compliant (exemption #7). It is provided in a high power surface mountpackage with an approximate weight of only 4 grams. The package also has lead-free silver plating. The solder reflow temperature is 240-250 degrees Celsius and the flammability rating is UL 94V-0.

ProTek Devices' SM30KPAN series is now available in mass quantities. Pricing for unidirectional parts start at around $11.00 per part in minimum quantities of 100 units. The bidirectional parts start at $13.00 per part in minimum quantities of 100 units. In addition to the voltages listed in the data sheet, other voltages are available. to create the world's first interactive skirt made up of Nokia Lumia 1520 smartphones.

    The innovative skirt was designed by the Fashion Fringe winners and created by Kin and
uses static pictures captured by the phone, or live feeds on the 80 screens that adorn it
- allowing it to change around the wearer and their day.

    Images on the screens change colour as the skirt moves, creating a shimmer effect
simulating the realistic tactile character of actual fabric. This is achieved through a
purpose built app that utilises global positioning, to ensure the shimmer happens in line
with the models movement. It is believed that this is the first time a skirt of this kind
has been created.

    Annie Kearney, Nokia Brand Lab, said: "This unique project is about exploring the
possibilities of smart technology and fashion coming together, as well as supporting new
talent to create something special using the beautifully designed Nokia Lumia 1520."

    To build the skirt, Kin worked interactively with a combination of software such as
Python and C#. Initial drawings were sketched along side Fyodor Golan. The sketches were
then developed using engineering tools and rapid prototyping tools such as 3D printing and
laser cutting to evolve the initial design.

    Of their new collection and working with Nokia, Fyodor said: "This A/W 14 season we
toyed with tradition against technology. We believe that you can create almost anything
that isn't influenced by gravity. The colour changes as the skirt moves and the idea of
making the screens react to the word around it via photographs and video is something that
we do not think has been done before."

    Speaking of their experience creating this skirt, Matt Wade from Kin said: "This is
exciting new territory that pushes the boundaries of what is possible in fashion,
designing and programming."

unveiled it to the City in a launch which marks the department store's 200th birthday.

    The new interior contains innovative digital media solutions that will transform the
shopping experience at this iconic Oxford Street location. The technology was provided and
installed by AVM Impact, a leading audio visual and digital media company.

    The new technology includes two nine screen video walls positioned at the main
entrances from Vere Street and Marylebone Lane - creating an impressive visual array,
which complements the high design standards across the store.

    On the ground floor feature area is a cluster of 65" and 46" ceiling suspended
displays, enhancing the impact of this focal point. Five beauty brands within the
cosmetics hall have also seen a facelift with pillar mounted 46" screens which will
reinforce brand presence and inspire the customer journey with digital content that can be
viewed and updated remotely.

Customers in Addison and the Dallas-Fort Worth area will be among the first to experience the new store concept that is reinventing the retail business. Enhanced service experience
What you won't see in these new stores is almost as important as what you will see. Customers will no longer see the traditional retail "cash-register" counters. Instead, they'll find round cafe-style "learning tables" that allow for side-by-side interactions with the AT&T retail consultant to ask questions or learn about a product or service. All retail consultants carry a tablet supported by a new mobile point-of-sale system that allows them to help customers anywhere in the store.

Customers also won't see the printed product brochures common in many stores. With digital signage, e-brochures and interactive video monitors, they can have the information literally at their finger tips while giving AT&T the flexibility of updating messaging faster and more efficiently.
