Akamai and Synacor Unveil Demonstration of Technology to Enable TV Everywhere Services
LAS VEGAS, April 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS SHOW --Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading provider of cloud optimization services, and Synacor, the leading provider of personalized homepages and online entertainment services to operators, today unveiled a technology demonstration designed to show how programmers and operators can easily facilitate new TV Everywhere services. TV Everywhere is a new model being embraced by programmers and system operators as a way to provide paying subscribers with access to their favorite TV programming across multiple devices. The business objective is to create an easy way for consumers to enjoy the content they consume on television across all of their devices, including PCs, tablets and mobile devices.
The demonstration showcased this week at NAB unveils a simplified way to connect programmer content libraries with operator subscribers in the context of TV Everywhere by leveraging Akamai's identity services, a common standards-based set of APIs, along with Synacor's authentication and authorization platform, which work together to grant entitlement of content to authorized subscribers.
TV Everywhere-type business models offer a tremendous opportunity to build subscriber loyalty and add value for operators and programmers alike. One of the practical challenges in bringing TV Everywhere to market is how to quickly implement the entitlement models at the center of these services. Seamlessly connecting programmers, operators and consumers typically requires individual integrations and can quickly get complex. Equally important is ensuring a consumer experience that minimizes barriers to accessing content, such as confusing and repetitive log-in processes.
Akamai and Synacor have each developed capabilities intended to address these challenges, aimed at providing a standardized way to bridge the gap between the involved parties, as well as enhance the consumer experience.
Each company has contributed innovative capabilities to the demonstration including:
-- Identity services for TV Everywhere to provide a single integration
point to normalize the authentication and authorization content requests
between programmers and operators through a common, standards-based set
of APIs that are architected to enable content providers to manipulate
and control access rights as a way to support new business partnerships.
-- Authentication and authorization of subscriber identity to supply
consumer and operator specific metadata for business rule decision
making.
-- Smart identity provider discovery functionality that is designed to
surface only the most relevant consumer options for login, leveraging
geo-targeting and common domain footprints.
-- Single Sign On (SSO)to minimize disruptions to the viewing experience,
an important factor for content providers hoping to increase content
consumption, viewer adoption and engagement.
-- Viewing continuity so that viewers won't miss a scene when pausing and
playing back video across many connected devices - for example from
laptop to tablet - with location and device-shifting technology.
-- Akamai HD Network integration for scalable, high-quality, secure
streaming and audience analytics.
"We've been seeing the entertainment industry undergo a major digital transformation and with new business models like TV Everywhere, the pace of innovation is growing rapidly. Akamai's cloud based infrastructure has been enabling new digital business models for years, and working with our customers in this transformation is a natural next step," said Troy Snyder, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Akamai. "Akamai is committed to addressing the complete needs of the programmers, operators and consumers as content libraries are expanded, more devices emerge for on-the-go viewing and the value of the content available is enhanced."
"TV Everywhere offers both operators and programmers a tremendous opportunity to extend their brands on the Web, build subscriber loyalty, and take advantage of new business models," said Ted May, Senior Vice President of Business Strategy at Synacor.
"We look forward to working more closely with Akamai to enable TV Everywhere initiatives and to taking a giant leap forward in enhancing the video experience for millions of consumers."
While the Akamai and Synacor features above are not currently commercially available, the demonstration shows the potential ease with which programmers and operators can easily reach their audiences using the strengths of the two companies' offerings.

ViewCast Announces Two New Osprey Video Capture Cards for Multi-stream, Multi-platform Delivery
Osprey® 260e and 460e video capture cards continue ViewCast's strong tradition of high-quality streaming performance
PLANO, Texas, April 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ViewCast Corporation (OTCBB: VCST), a developer of industry-leading solutions for the transformation, management and delivery of digital media over enterprise, broadband, and mobile networks, today announced the availability of two new Osprey® video capture cards - the Osprey 260e and Osprey 460e. Both cards are designed to work with industry standard media encoding applications including Microsoft Expression Encoder and Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder, and are ideally suited for broadcasters, enterprises, governments and OEM system integrators looking for high-quality, reliable solutions for webcasting, live streaming, podcasting, mobile TV, video on demand and/or surveillance applications.
"Osprey video capture cards are widely recognized as the industry standard for high-quality, rock-solid streaming performance," said Dave Stoner, President and CEO of ViewCast. "With the introduction of the Osprey 260e and 460e cards to ViewCast's award-winning Osprey product family, we continue to improve upon that tradition as we extend our technology leadership to meet the demands of today's multi-platform digital media marketplace."
By adding SimulStream® to either card, users can encode content in multiple formats, bit rates and resolutions - simultaneously, from a single video source, to reach the expanding variety of devices available to consumers for viewing media content wherever they are.
Both the Osprey 260e and 460e cards optimize the PCI Express (PCIe) bus architecture to unleash the power of modern multi-core PC engines with unfettered access to all PC resources. This capability means more power for the most demanding streaming applications.
The Osprey 260e provides one channel selectable between composite, component, or Y/C video and balanced or unbalanced audio in a low profile form factor, ideal for compact system enclosures. The Osprey 460e card is designed to simultaneously capture four independent channels of analog video and unbalanced stereo audio signals and process them independently, minimizing internal PC space requirements. The channel density offered by the Osprey 460e dramatically reduces total system cost by increasing the capture capacity within a single system.
The 460e A/V option also provides additional video inputs and four stereo balanced audio inputs to the rear panel connectors. The optional video inputs include the selection of component or Y/C (S-Video) for each of the 4 channels or 3 additional composite inputs for a total of 16 switchable composite inputs per card.

Doing Business in Russia: the Internet Portal to Russian Customers
ST. PETERSBURG, Russia, April 11, 2011/PRNewswire/ -- http://www.KidsReview.ru, an independent online magazine for families

channel for companies to reach their potential buyers in Russia. The highly
attractive Russian market remains hard to penetrate, but the democracy of
Internet allows companies to address their potential customers in Russia
directly, bypassing agents, customs, and localization costs, and to virtually
"export" clients from Russia.
The business directory and news placement service at http://www.kidsreview.ru is a targeted online sales and marketing tool,
optimal for companies that look to attract solvent Russian customers, build

Russian market experts, free of charge.
Official numbers show that despite the economic crisis, Russians do have
the money to spend. Russian children's apparel market alone is estimated at
5.3 billion Euros (by Fashion Consulting Group). And in many sectors of
Russian economy, the scarce supply lags far behind the growing demand,
especially when it comes to the luxury sector. With a population of 142
million, Russia has one of the highest mobile penetrations in the world (over
100%), 3G and 4G (WiMAX) networks are widely used, with ARPU (average revenue
per user) constantly growing. Each year, more Russian parents are sending
children to study abroad: in the first 9 months of 2010 the British officials
in Moscow, for instance, have issued 9241 student visas, as opposed to 8319
visas in the same period of 2009. Health tourists from Russia are becoming
the expected guests in many European states: "Most patients choosing the

The World Wide Web has fewer boundaries and remains one of the easiest
and most reliable ways of delivering information to potential clients. Being
represented on the http://www.kidsreview.ru portal is a fast, effective and

Russian market, in the local language. "70% of our readers find us, when
searching for services for their kids, on the Internet," comments Victoria
Krasilshikova, the Chief Editor of http://www.KidsReview.ru, - "The majority
of parents that Google for places to go and things to do with kids are
working parents. They are Internet-savvy, financially stable and interested

spend an average of 6 minutes on reading 3 pages, 73% of the them are 25
years of age or older, 36% are men and 64% are women, 63% are new and 37% are

Tier-1 Service Providers, Vendors Deploy Mu Dynamics for Testing Application-Aware Networks
Juniper Networks and Palo Alto Networks Use Mu to Rapidly Test and Validate the Functionality, Scalability, and Security of their Application-Aware Capabilities
SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Mu Dynamics, Inc. (http://www.mudynamics.com), the leader in validating and testing application-aware networks, today announced the only testing solution on the market capable of immediately and accurately recreating applications to determine how they affect networks. This real-time solution boasts thousands of downloadable, ready-to-run, application-specific tests on Mu TestCloud, a rapidly growing online collaborative community for the sharing of test assets. Tier-1 service providers and leading network equipment manufacturers like Juniper Networks are using Mu's unique solution to quickly test new application policies that govern security, scalability and functionality. With Mu, they are able to do this with more speed, flexibility and accuracy than ever before. For more information on this new solution, including Mu's TestCloud, click here.
Supporting Quotes:
"Mu's solution enables us to test the network for scalability and security using real applications," said Rob Cameron, Product Line Engineering Manager, Juniper Networks. "We can recreate applications to determine how they affect the network before we roll out our solutions to customers."
"In developing the industry's next-generation firewall, our technology's value proposition is inherently tied to being able to identify and control applications and security threats, both of which evolve at breakneck speed," said NirZuk, Founder and CTO of Palo Alto Networks. "Ensuring that our platform keeps up with this evolution is critical to our ability to compete successfully. Mu's solution for app-aware testing gives us the means to do so, quickly and accurately."
Mu is providing a much-needed bridge for testing today's application-aware networks for security, application usage and network load," said Jack Walsh, IPS and anti-spam program manager, ICSA Labs. "Accurately recreating real application traffic mixes that reflect what is seen on production networks is critical to achieving meaningful test results of today's application-aware networks."
"Identifying and validating applications just as they are deployed on the network has become a necessity for service providers in the new application-aware network environment," said Peter Jarich, Service Director, Current Analysis. "Proactively testing application policies for how they govern security, scalability and functionality gives service providers the information they need to ensure their networks are performing at the levels required to keep end users satisfied."
Without the ability to quickly and accurately test the policies governing their networks, service providers risk poor performance, security breaches and ultimately customer churn based on a poor quality of experience. However, testing today's complex policies has become a significant challenge. With hundreds of thousands of Web and mobile applications including P2P (such as BitTorrent), streaming video (such as Netflix and Hulu),social media (such as Facebook and Twitter), games (such as Farmville and Mafia Wars), and instant messaging (such as Skype and Google Chat), service providers are struggling to manage their networks effectively. In addition, rules around Net Neutrality provide guidelines on how service providers can manage and create application-specific policies. In response to this, many service providers and their equipment vendors are incorporating "application awareness" into their products and services to enable a far more granular classification and control of application traffic.
These app-aware products and services help detect and classify applications for a number of functions including deep packet inspection (DPI), lawful intercept, traffic shaping and prioritization across the network. Testing the policy engines built into these functions with legacy test tools that use synthetic traffic with meaningless application payloads has, at best, been inaccurate. On top of being inaccurate, service providers often have to wait months or more for the legacy test tool vendor to custom-develop support for each individual application.
Mu's unique solution gives service providers and equipment vendors the ability to immediately recreate and accurately test network policies using real application flows. More importantly, Mu enables these companies to start testing immediately, instead of months later. Mu has also added a multi-track capability allowing different application mixes to be run concurrently to emulate the production environment.
"With the continued growth in the number of new applications, and the constant shift in the production mix based on popularity, today's networks are becoming more intelligent and capable of distinguishing applications," said Dave Kresse, CEO, Mu Dynamics. "Service providers are using this visibility to implement finer-grain policies around security and quality of service than were previously possible. Mu gives customers a quick and simple way to test their network policies by recreating in real time their ever-changing application mix. The results for our customers have been consistent -dramatically accelerated testing cycles, increased testing accuracy and the ability to test any application at any time."
The Mu solution for testing application-aware networks and Mu TestCloud are available now. For more information visit http://www.mudynamics.com/.
About Mu Dynamics:
Mu Dynamics is the leader and pioneer in testing and validating application-aware networks. Our innovative solutions enable customers to rapidly recreate applications and determine the impact to their network. Hundreds of service providers, enterprises, government agencies and network equipment manufacturers use Mu to ensure that their networks are functional, scalable and secure. Adder Launch DVI & USB Extension for Professional Users
AdderLink X-DVI PRO Featuring Transparent USB and DVI
BOSTON, April 11, 2011/PRNewswire/ -- Adder (http://www.adder.com/), the experts in connectivity solutions,
today announced the availability of the AdderLink X-DVI PRO. Following on
from the original AdderLink X-DVI, the X-DVI PRO extender features
transparent USB and full bandwidth DVI over a single cable. X-DVI PRO is the
second generation DVI extender delivering greater distance, improved USB and
faster setup.
The X-DVI PRO is ideal for users that require superior, no compromise
video quality. Adder's PRO range is a specific set of devices designed for
use in professional digital environments. Industries such as medical imaging,
broadcasting, digital signage, graphic design, drafting and animation need to
be confident that what is shown on screen is exactly what the workstation
intends. The only real way to achieve this is via a digital medium such as
DVI. The AdderLink X-DVI PRO will support the extension of full speed
transparent USB together with no compromise DVI over distances up to 200ft.
The X-DVI achieves full frequency clock rate for single link DVI
connections which means you can extend any resolution within the single link
DVI range. As an example, resolutions of 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz can be achieved
without the need to reduce data, frequency or colour depth in any way.
Delivering full speed USB as a transparent data connection means the X-DVI
PRO also supports isochronous devices such as web cams or USB headsets. Setup
is now much faster with the inclusion of automatic cable equalisation which
determines the cable characteristic and adjusts the signal to deliver perfect
results each time.
A true plug and play solution, the AdderLink X-DVI PRO feeds extended
profile DDC EDID information from the screen so that the video card is always
set up perfectly. X-DVI PRO can also be interface powered at the computer,
avoiding the need for additional power sockets and reducing cable clutter.
For video only applications, an optional power supply can also be purchased.
Suitable for PC, Mac and Sun computers, the AdderLink X-DVI PRO is
available through local distribution partners around the world. For more

IgnitionOne Launches, Offering Industry-First Digital Marketing Suite
Global Performance Company With $1B in Digital Media Under Management for 500+ Blue-Chip Advertisers Expands Under a New Name to Revolutionize Digital Marketing Technology
NEW YORK, April 11, 2011/PRNewswire/ -- Today, the new company IgnitionOne (http://www.ignitionone.com) was
launched, created by combining SearchIgnite, a global performance marketing
technology, with on-site optimization and real-time audience scoring
capabilities from its sister company Netmining. The new company will offer a
single dashboard ("Digital Marketing Suite"), enabling performance marketers
to manage and optimize their online advertising, optimize conversions on
their website and receive advanced cross-channel attribution and analytics.
The current online marketing technology landscape is fragmented and
complex, with a multitude of technology providers offering point solutions
that only solve a portion of marketers' needs. This creates a real challenge
for marketers, who often work with multiple technologies in an effort to
achieve their online marketing goals. IgnitionOne will streamline this
process and simplify the landscape by providing marketers with numerous best
of breed performance marketing solutions united under a single interface and
tracking tag.
"IgnitionOne is the first-and-only technology solution that effectively
bundles the many online technologies we use every day under one platform,
which makes us more efficient, improves our marketing performance and more
importantly, our ROI," said Ted Schweitzer, Vice President of E-Commerce for
La Quinta Inns & Suites. "It's really solving a major void in the
marketplace. With our digital efforts essential to the growth and success of
our brand, IgnitionOne's centralized Digital Marketing Suite is a marketplace
necessity, not a luxury."
A simple, single tag will power all of IgnitionOne's capabilities, which
include:
- Centralized paid search, display and Facebook ad campaign management
- Full Display DSP functionality for real-time-biddable(RTB) media buying
- Cross-channel attribution and advanced analytics dashboards
- On-site optimization transferred from Netmining, powered by a proven,
proprietary audience algorithm
Marketers and their agencies are often forced to connect a multitude of
tags and log into many different dashboards for these initiatives. These
technologies haven't been integrated for the marketer to date, and often
don't funnel up to a centralized reporting system for insights into
performance across channels. IgnitionOne's platform integrates Media and
On-Site Optimization with Attribution and Analytics, allowing marketers to
finally close the loop between the advertising that drives people to their
website and the solutions that convert them into leads and sales. The system
is already integrated for marketers, and an evolutionary step forward that
will dramatically improve online marketing performance.
"The current landscape puts the burden on marketers to integrate these
siloed technologies. Our clients have asked us to solve this industry-wide
problem," said Will Margiloff, CEO of IgnitionOne (formerly Chairman of
SearchIgnite). "IgnitionOne is the first centralized platform that integrates
all of the essential technologies marketers need to power their online
performance."
In addition to Mr. Margiloff, the IgnitionOne senior management team will
consist of Roger Barnette (formerly CEO of SearchIgnite) as President and

Verizon Unveils Advanced Digital Media Management and Distribution Platform for Entertainment Industry to Capitalize on New 'Content-to-Consumer' Experiences
Trailblazing Solution Reduces Complexity, Provides Unprecedented Scale and Scope to Drive New Media Business Models
LAS VEGAS, April 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon is unveiling new "content-to-consumer" delivery capabilities at the NAB Show to help entertainment and media companies satisfy and capitalize on consumers' growing appetite for live and on-demand, personalized video content on their smartphones, tablets and other devices.
Verizon Digital Media Services is a first-of-its-kind solution that will automate previously manual workflow processes associated with formatting, managing and delivering digital media to virtually any device or platform on a large scale. As a result, content owners and digital retailers will be able to more effectively produce, manage and distribute premium programming to consumers when, how and where they want to view it. Verizon Digital Media Services will help content owners and digital media retailers tackle wide-scale content management and distribution challenges. It will also ultimately enable high-quality and reliable "unicast" -- individualized video streams -- tailored to fit consumer preferences on virtually any viewing screen.
"Verizon is creating a first-of-its-kind automated digital utility," said Mike Millegan, president of Global Wholesale. "With this unique delivery platform, built on top of Verizon's high-IQ infrastructure, content owners, entertainment companies and digital media retailers will be able to create new business models that capitalize and deliver on the promise of digital entertainment."
Greg Ireland, consumer video industry analyst for global technology research firm IDC, said, "The incredible scale and comprehensive capabilities to be offered by Verizon Digital Media Services make it a groundbreaking new distribution platform for the digital media industry. This is a significant and much needed development in highly fragmented market."
Melanie Posey, vice president of hosting and managed network services for IDC, said, "Verizon is making a bold play in the digital media distribution space by creating an innovative new category of service based on an automated supply chain model. It's likely that Verizon Digital Media Services will stimulate new thinking about different ways to package, deliver and consume all forms of digital media content."
Companies including Turner Broadcasting, Hearst Magazines and The Associated Press will be among the first to explore Verizon Digital Media Services' capabilities. To deal with the expected explosion in digital media demand, digital media retailers and content publishers would otherwise need to make multimillion-dollar capital and IT investments. Instead, VDMS will proactively adapt to the rapid pace of technology and allow customers to focus on accelerating their business.
Verizon Digital Media Services will offer a solution that will allow studios, networks and other content owners to:
-- Capitalize on an integrated delivery platform, from intake to
distribution outlet.
-- Allow real-time visibility and control throughout the digital media
supply chain.
-- Achieve significant economies of scale.
Strategic Alliances for End-to-End Solution
Although the majority of the patent-pending technology is being created by Verizon, the company is also strategically teaming with Technicolor and leading technology software and hardware companies to support advanced capabilities for its automated content-to-consumer solution.
Vince Pizzica, group president for Technicolor's Digital Delivery Business Group, said, "We are excited about teaming with Verizon to bring unprecedented scale, expertise and digital workflow support to the digital industry. Technicolor offers the art of content preparation by bringing its vast experience in content creation, creative and post production services and digital workflow expertise."
Other vendors contributing to the Verizon Digital Media Services offering include Motorola, which is providing advanced software that enables media transformation and automated workflow management; Alcatel-Lucent, which is enabling content delivery and adaptive streaming technology for unicast; and HP, which is providing high-performance ProLiant server technology.
Most ConnectedGlobal IP Backbone, Security and Solutions Leadership
The new service leverages Verizon's global IP backbone and data center infrastructure with leading managed security to enable a carrier-class, scalable solution that content companies have been seeking to automate their digital media supply chains. Over the last three years Verizon has made significant capital investments to create the high-I.Q. networks that are accelerants of innovation and support the economy of the future. New StreamZHD Live ABR systems feature increased processing power that allows encoding of a greater number of simultaneous outputs. Combinations of up to 15 HD, SD and mobile streams can be output simultaneously in real time, including concurrent output for multiple adaptive streaming technologies and target devices.
Connecting Broadcast Television with New Opportunities

StreamZ Live Broadcast input options will include SDI (3G/HD/SD), IP and ASI signals, with IP and ASI output configurations. StreamZ Live Broadcast can be managed and controlled through an intuitive web interface, local front-panel controls or the Digital Rapids Broadcast Manager software. DOJ's Strict Conditions on Google/ITA Deal Will Open Internet Giant To Unprecedented Scrutiny; Full Investigation of Anticompetitive Search Practices Needed, Consumer Watchdog Says
WASHINGTON, April 8, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Department of Justice's conditions on Google's $700 million deal to buy ITA Software will focus unprecedented and necessary regulatory scrutiny on the Internet giant, Consumer Watchdog said today. The nonpartisan, nonprofit public interest group called on the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission to investigate Google's anticompetitive search practices.
Consumer Watchdog expressed the concern that even with the DOJ's conditions in place -- because of Google's dominance on the Internet -- the company will ultimately win control of the travel search industry, driving ticket prices up for consumers.
Under the terms of the settlement, for the next five years Google will be required to license ITA's software, to continue to upgrade it and to establish firewalls to hide ITA clients' proprietary information from Google. The settlement still must be approved by a federal court. Google plans to launch its own online travel search service that will compete with such websites as Kayak and Tripadvisor.
"The conditions imposed on Google will prevent the most egregious anticompetitive aspects of this deal, but the real problem is Google's ongoing anticompetitive practices based on its monopolistic control of search, " said John M. Simpson, director of Consumer Watchdog's Privacy Project. "It's long past time for a full investigation of those abuses by U.S. Antitrust authorities, either the DOJ or the FTC."
European antitrust officials and the Texas attorney general have conducting antitrust investigations. The U.S. DOJ opposed the Google Books settlement on antirust grounds and the settlement was rejected by U.S. Judge Denny Chin.

ODENTON, Md., April 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- M-Edge Accessories, the market-leading designer of accessories for Kindle, Nook, and iPad, announced today the launch of a groundbreaking new customization website known as MyEdge. Recently featured on The Today Show, MyEdge is the first service to allow customers to design and personalize protective jackets for their e-readers and iPads at uniquely affordable costs of $40 for Kindle and Nook covers and $50 for iPad.
With demand for highly customized accessories on the rise, the MyEdge website gives consumers the ability to create custom jackets with interactive, easy-to-use design tools. At launch, customers can design jackets for iPad 1 and 2, Kindle (Latest and 2nd Generations), and Nook. For those who love the new reading technology but miss the feeling of holding a traditional hardcover in their hands, MyEdge is the ultimate opportunity to put a little of the book back into the e-reader.
A unique feature of MyEdge is the Style Library, a gallery featuring artwork exclusively commissioned for MyEdge by well-known artists from around the world. The Style Library includes artists like Amy Ruppel and Christopher Bettig, as well as iconic cover artwork from past issues of The New Yorker. In addition, the Style Library offers an assortment of vintage book cover artwork through partner Out of Print. Book covers offered in MyEdge include Moby Dick, Catch 22, Slaughterhouse 5, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and more. The Style Library also includes official NCAA-licensed logos from the Universities of Virginia, Washington, Maryland, and others for students and alumni looking to showcase their school spirit.
"Unlike a skin or a sticker, MyEdge gives people the opportunity to design a fully customized cover that also meets their need to protect their expensive device," comments Jim Ward, M-Edge CFO. "At M-Edge, our goal is to offer high-quality and unique accessories at affordable prices, and we're proud that MyEdge will give our customers another option to convey their one-of-a-kind style to the world."
How MyEdge Works
The MyEdge website provides all the drawing and design tools a user needs in an easy-to-navigate toolbar. Customers select the device they want to accessorize--Kindle, iPad, or Nook--then use the MyEdge design tools to design and edit their "blank canvas."
After laying out their selected photo, pattern, text, or artwork, the customer can choose from a black or mocha microfiber leather spine and stitching accents for their jacket. Before placing their order, the customer can review a photo-realistic rendering of the jacket they have created. Once the jacket is approved and finalized, the design is printed on sturdy canvas using eco-friendly water-based inks. Before shipping, each jacket is coated with Scotchgard(TM) protection to enhance its durability.
MyEdge jackets are printed and assembled in the United States, which allows customers to receive their creations in as little as two weeks.

AT&T Building Most Advanced Mobile Broadband Experience in Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast, Announces 2011 Network Upgrade Plans
AT&T to Expand Backhaul Locally in 2011 to Enable 4G Speeds, Increase Mobile Broadband Capacity, Upgrade Hundreds of Cell Sites
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., April 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Building on its strong 2010 record of network accomplishments, AT&T* today announced network improvement plans designed to enable 4G speeds** and enhanced reliability to Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast in 2011. The wireless network enhancement plans are part of AT&T's planned $19-billion investment in its nationwide wireless and wireline networks and other capital projects in 2011.
AT&T Florida President Marshall Criser, lll, says AT&T plans the following network improvements for Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast in 2011:
-- Deploying enhanced backhaul connections to more than 90 cell sites to
enable 4G speeds and add capacity to support more mobile traffic, like
adding traffic lanes to a highway
-- Adding spectrum carriers - more capacity - to more than 120 cell sites
to support more voice and data traffic
-- Installing seven new cell sites to improve network coverage
"Our story is getting even better for Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast," Criser said. "Our recently announced agreement to acquire T-Mobile USA represents a great deal for customers and a major commitment to strengthen and expand our network. In fact, this deal, if approved, means that we'll be able to expand the next generation of mobile broadband - 4G LTE - from our current plan of 80 percent of the U.S. population to 95 percent."
The T-Mobile acquisition provides a fast, efficient and certain solution to the impending wireless exhaust situation facing both companies while adding cell towers. Additional towers mean additional capacity which means fewer dropped calls. "We'll be able to provide better voice quality and data performance to our customers," added Criser.
AT&T invested more than $300 million in its Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast wireless and wireline networks from 2008 through 2010 as part of its commitment to superior service in the area. Last year's upgrades included:
-- Adding spectrum carriers to more than 90 cell sites
-- Deploying enhanced backhaul connections to more than 25 cell sites
-- Installing six new cell sites
-- Deploying a DAS network at a southern Palm Beach County beach club
The nation's fastest mobile broadband network is getting faster with 4G. A key planned upgrade for 2011 is deployment of enhanced backhaul connections to more than 90 cell sites in Palm Beach County to enable 4G speeds. Backhaul connections carry traffic between cell sites and AT&T's nationwide network. Enhanced fiber-optic and ethernet backhaul connections expand capacity many times over, and enable additional expansion in the years to come.
"We're investing in our local network to help AT&T customers take advantage of the numerous capabilities of their wireless devices," Criser said. "This year, we're committed to providing best-in-class wireless voice service to our customers, and we're backing that up with the right investments."
The investments made in the Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast wireless and wireline networks are part of the more than $2.8 billion AT&T invested from 2008 through 2010 across Florida.
AT&T's advanced network provides several important advantages for customers. Unlike some competitors, AT&T's mobile broadband network provides customers with the ability to talk and surf at the same time. For instance, you can look up directions to an event while staying on the phone with your boss, or browse your favorite social media sites while chatting with a friend. AT&T's mobile broadband network also is up to 35 percent faster than our largest competitor's CDMA-based network on average nationally.
AT&T also provides access to voice service in more than 220 countries and data service in more than 200 countries. AT&T's largest competitor's CDMA-based devices work in fewer than 45 countries. Business Traveler magazine recently named AT&T as having the "Best Mobile Coverage in the World" - the fourth time AT&T has received the distinction.
"AT&T is consistently among the top companies in the U.S. in terms of our capital investment and we're committed to helping our customers right here in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast take advantage of the numerous capabilities of their wireless devices," said Carlos Blanco, vice president and general manager, AT&T Mobility & Consumer Markets for South Florida.
Ed Chase, president and CEO of the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce, said AT&T's significant investment to improve its network will further bolster Palm Beach County's reputation as a great place to live and work.
"High-tech expansions like this one help our business community, our local economy and our overall quality of life," Chase said. "Few businesses today are more competitive than the wireless industry. That level of competition results in investment and new technology, which delivers benefits to the entire community."
AT&T's focus is delivering the nation's most advanced mobile broadband experience, which includes delivering the benefits of mobile broadband networks, devices and applications. With the nation's fastest mobile broadband network, AT&T provides accelerated mobile data speeds and simultaneous voice and data capabilities for an amazing wireless voice and data experience. At the same time, AT&T offers a wide-ranging portfolio of smartphones and devices, with 20 4G devices planned for 2011, including a robust Android lineup. And we're driving development of wide-ranging mobile applications with three AT&T Foundry collaborative innovation centers planned for this year, as well as leadership in multiple initiatives to provide new tools for apps developers.
AT&T's mobile broadband network is based on the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) family of technologies that includes GSM and UMTS, the most widely used wireless network platforms in the world.
AT&T also operates the nation's largest Wi-Fi network*** with more than 24,000 hotspots in the U.S. and access to more than 135,000 hotspots globally through roaming agreements. Most AT&T smartphone customers get access to our entire national Wi-Fi network at no additional cost, and Wi-Fi usage doesn't count against customers' monthly data plans.
For more information about AT&T's coverage in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast, or anywhere in the United States, consumers can visit the AT&T Coverage Viewer. Using the online tool, AT&T customers can measure coverage quality from a street address, intersection, ZIP code or even a landmark.

DOTGO Launches Text Messaging Publishing Suite for All 100 Million Internet Domains
CMRL-Based Suite Makes Person-to-Website Text Messaging Available to All
NEW YORK, April 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Text-messaging technology leader DOTGO today announced the launch of its much-anticipated web-based publishing suite, allowing all 100 million Internet domains to take advantage of text messaging, the world's most powerful and direct marketing medium.
The new web-based interface, called DOTGO Publisher, is built on top of DOTGO's mobile markup language CMRL, the Concise Message Routing Language. With its release of the new tool, DOTGO has leveled the playing field for those seeking to use text messaging to promote their brands-from individuals and small businesses to leading media companies.
Prior to DOTGO, running a text messaging service was very expensive, time consuming, and relied on software that was either technically complex or limiting. DOTGO eliminates these obstacles, bringing text messaging to all 100 million Internet domains, by introducing two unique ideas. First, DOTGO maps the first word of any text message sent to the phone number DOTCOM (368266) to the corresponding .com Internet domain name. For example, anyone with a cell phone can access a site like google.com by texting the word "google" to the phone number DOTCOM (368266). This means all 100 million Internet domain names now have a way for their users to text them. Users of .edu, .gov, .net, and .org domains can similarly use the phone numbers DOTEDU (368338), DOTGOV (368468), DOTNET (368638), and DOTORG (368674).
Second, DOTGO has developed the first and only markup language for text messaging, called CMRL, the Concise Message Routing Language. CMRL does for text messaging what HTML does for the web: it allows web developers to author the text messaging responses for their Internet domain names. The introduction of DOTGO Publisher brings the power of CMRL and DOTGO to all non-developers, and features a site builder for authoring CMRL, a message center for broadcasting messages, and analytics for showing detailed text messaging statistics for an Internet domain name.
For individuals and businesses seeking to participate in the ever-growing mobile space, a DOTGO text messaging site provides a powerful and cost-effective new way to reach mobile users, complementing other mobile initiatives like mobile web sites and smartphone apps. New York Law School Announces Online Legal Learning Alliance with Lawline.com
New York Law School and Lawline.com will join forces to bring online legal learning resources to law students and others who want to learn about law.
NEW YORK, April 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- New York Law School (NYLS) and Lawline.com today announced an alliance to bring online legal learning resources to law students and others who want to learn about law.
Lawline.com, a major provider of online continuing legal education (CLE) materials, has recently launched a new service, called learn.lawline.com, offering access to hundreds of hours of educational videos, for free. These materials are packaged in short, targeted segments so that those seeking to learn about specific legal topics can quickly find information that speaks directly to their interests.
Lawline.com will work with NYLS to develop and repurpose additional video materials, some of which will be created regularly for classes and conferences held at the Law School, and some of which will be developed especially for this new, broader audience.
"We are excited to bring our CLE materials to law students, many of whom will learn more about the real challenges of law practice, and take advantage of the convenience of video materials to study on their mobile devices," said David Schnurman, CEO of Lawline.com, who is a 2006 alumnus of NYLS.
NYLS and Lawline.com will also collaborate to explore developments in online education, generally, including the potential for new kinds of legal learning objects, such as online games and law practice simulations. NYLS has been delivering novel software-based games and simulations to its students for some time. "We believe it is time to invite a wider array of teachers and learners into a shared online legal learning space," said Professor Dan Hunter, Director of the Institute for Information Law & Policy at New York Law School.
"We want to address a global audience of people who want to learn about law for all kinds of reasons. We will offer degrees and certificates, of course. But we also hope to create models that incentivize practitioners, recent grads, and students to develop new types of materials that help others to learn about law," said NYLS Dean Richard A. Matasar.
The NYLS-Lawline.com alliance is among several new initiatives that will be announced by Dean Matasar at the Future Ed: New Business Models for U.S. and Global Legal Education conference on April 15-16, 2011. The conference, co-hosted by Harvard Law School and New York Law School, brings together educators, lawyers, clients, regulators, and legal entrepreneurs to design and test potential innovations in the law school curriculum, teaching methods, and the use of technology. See http://www.nyls.edu/futureed for more information.

Dynamic Intelligent Solutions Demonstrates Industry-First Dimensional Measurement Process and New Testing Applications at the 2011 SAE World Congress
DETROIT, April 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dynamic Intelligent Solutions, LLC (DIS) is displaying its innovative, patent-pending ChamberCam(TM) process - which provides dynamic, never-before-available 3-D measurement of components under extreme climatic conditions - at the 2011 Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) World Congress this week in Detroit.
Named an Innovative Exhibitor by SAE, DIS (booth #1038) will be displaying its dynamic data acquisition technology, discussing new applications and conducting process demonstrations from Tuesday, April 12 - Thursday, April 14.
The ChamberCam(TM) system combines photogrammetry hardware and software with current thermal management technology to provide product engineers with the unique ability to accurately measure interior and exterior components and engine systems as they expand and contract with temperature changes, up to 15 times per second, to improve product quality and performance.
In addition, the system can now be utilized to measure degradation of adhesion and know the exact time, temperature and humidity condition when the adhesion failure begins.
"Many times during testing under extreme climatic conditions, a part's shape or dimensions react in ways that engineers can't detect, making it difficult to pinpoint what the root cause is when a part fails or becomes unstable," said Jim Arnone, managing partner of DIS. "Our process takes already proven optical measurement equipment and places it in the chamber during extreme climatic testing to capture the part's 3-D data on a real-time basis."
The ChamberCam(TM)systemis a first for the industry, not only in the kinds of precise 3-D measurement data that can be captured, but also in the way the data is delivered to the customer. DIS can deliver results to the customer while also providing additional data including time, temperature and humidity in graphs, charts, video, excel and 3-D point data showing vector direction of the point movement for each measurement.
DIS provides customers with free viewing software, allowing them to review test results and present data to their colleagues, superiors and customers in their format. This data is priceless during root cause analysis and problem-solving engineering fact finding. The system gives the engineer the ability to analyze up to 100 times more data - including previously unobtainable data - in less time than it takes with today's process.
The ChamberCam(TM) system:
-- Slashes cycle time of engineering evaluations;
-- Reduces guesswork, repeated testing and downstream engineering;
-- Eliminates the need for traditional coordinate-measuring machine
services and associated time delays;
-- Provides real-time point measurements under temperature or in motion
that were previously unavailable;
-- Is accurate to 50 microns and can capture data up to 15 times per
second;
-- Can withstand temperatures from -50 degrees Celsius to 150 degrees
Celsius (+/- 30 degrees) and up to 95 percent relative humidity; and
-- Offers almost unlimited test data sets and point comparisons in video,
pictures, graphs and 3-D point data charts for quick evaluation and
analysis.
DIS offers the ChamberCam(TM) service at its testing partner, Primetime Testing Laboratory, Inc., in Clinton Township, Mich. Ideal for validating automotive interior components, such as instrument panels, door panels and consoles, the process can also be used for other products and markets where dimensional stability at temperature or in motion is critical, according to Arnone.
The ChamberCam(TM) systemcan be used for a wide variety of engineering fact finding analysis, such as:
-- Quick measurement of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing features;
-- Root cause;
-- Deformation;
-- Motion and position analysis;
-- Identifying key elements for the FEA analysis process;
-- Acquisition of dynamic processes;
-- Precise digitizing of medium-to-large sized objects; and
-- Eliminating the need for CMM measurement.
DIS is now scheduling tests using the ChamberCam(TM) process at Primetime Testing Laboratory's Clinton Township lab. To schedule a demonstration or product testing, manufacturers should call Jim Arnone of DIS at (586) 468-3939 or e-mail jarnone@dynamic3dmeasure.com.
