Free International Mobile Calling Standard Reset by Rebtel
PALM DESERT, Calif., March 23 -- DEMO Spring 2010 -- Rebtel, the Internet phone company used by more than 4 million people around the world, today demonstrated a new application for Android phones that automatically makes international calls between 51 countries free of charge - no Wi-Fi required.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., March 23 -- AltaSens, Inc., a premier supplier of HD CMOS image sensors, and Apical Limited, a leading provider of advanced hardware IP cores and software libraries for wide dynamic range (WDR) imaging, announce the development of the industry's first 1/3-inch 1080p60 HD WDR sensor technology with uncompromised low-light performance.
AltaSens' A3372E3-4T WDR sensor uses patent-pending dual exposures in a single frame to create more than 100dB of wide dynamic range for 1080p HD imaging. Each exposure is independently adjustable to light levels in any scene, capturing the widest dynamic range. Rave's RR-2755, an Intel® Core i7 quiet system that supports high-end double-width graphics cards, was developed for a vehicle simulator application for training law officers in "Vehicle Interactive Pursuit." The customer's software for this project required performance at a high number of frames-per-second to realistically mimic engine speed, road noise, tire skidding, brake application, and collisions with vehicles and other objects, such as signs, road markers, trees, and buildings.
Rave's custom 2U solution leveraged Intel's new Core i7-860 processor and P55 series motherboard. By developing a custom chassis featuring a "green" high efficiency power supply and a temperature controlled cooling system, Rave was able to accommodate the new Intel parts as well as a doublewide nVidia GTX285 video card in only 3.5" (2U) of rackmount space.
Additionally, Rave achieved the frame rate of 60fps, a key requirement for the customer. The higher frame rate provides increased realism making the training more effective, resulting in improved behind-the-wheel performance of officers involved in vehicle pursuits. Rave was also able to increase the performance without significantly increasing the cost of the solution, while maintaining the 40dBA acoustic output of the existing Core 2 Duo based solution. This Intel Core i7 platform's combination of high performance, lower power, and mainstream pricing allowed Rave to hit the performance target and deliver the project to its customer within budget.

Gameloft achieved consolidated revenues of EUR122.0 million
for 2009, up by 11% from the previous year. Mobile games accounted for 94% of
the company's annual sales, while the console game business covered the
remaining 6%.
The solid growth in revenue and good cost control in the company's three
departments, Research & Development, Sales & Marketing and Administration,
have allowed Gameloft to triple its operating income in 2009. The current
operating income for 2009 reached EUR10.4M compared to EUR3.3M in 2008.
Therefore, the operating margin stands at 8.6%, in line with expectations.
Gameloft continues to benefit from investments in its development and
distribution abilities. These investments that enabled Gameloft to grow
quickly and to position itself as one of the top industry leaders in the past
few years are now also resulting in increased profitability for the company.
The annual impact from expensing stock options is EUR2.7M. This charge
has no impact on the company's equity and cash level.
Interest income amounted to EUR0.4M and is comprised of exchange gains
and interest on the company's cash flow. Therefore, the net annual profit
stands at EUR6.0M, a clear improvement over 2008.
Healthy Financial Position
Gameloft's financial position remains very solid. At 31
December 2009, the company's equity stood at EUR59.9M, net cash was EUR19.8M
and financial indebtedness zero. Cash generation was particularly strong with
over EUR9.0M in additional cash flow generated during 2009. As a result,
Gameloft has the financial resources necessary to continue its rapid growth
and take market share around the world.
Outlook for 2010
- Gameloft should continue to win over substantial market share in
traditional Java and Brew phones due in particular to the progressive
withdrawal of a large number of competitors.
- Gameloft will continue to benefit strongly from the fast adoption of
Smartphones by consumers and from the arrival of new dynamic players
in the market such as Apple and Palm. As such, the company has
positioned itself in the top ranks as a publisher on Apple's App Store
with 60 iPhone games released since July 2008 which represented 14% of
the company's sales in 2009.
- Gameloft is one of the very few players in the market that has the
resources and know-how allowing it to be present with downloadable
content for the launch of all the new consoles (iPad, PlayStation
Network, Nintendo DSiWare, Nintendo WiiWare, etc.).

CenterPoint Energy Gives Consumers With Smart Meters More Control Over Their Electricity Use
Consortium of Texas utilities launches Smart Meter Texas portal
HOUSTON, March 23 -- CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC, a subsidiary of CenterPoint Energy, Inc. (NYSE:CNP), joined other electric transmission and distribution utilities (TDUs) in Texas to launch the Smart Meter Texas common portal and data repository, which will give consumers in Texas with smart meters more control over their electricity use.
CenterPoint Energy has installed and tested more than 157,000 smart meters for residential and business consumers in Houston, and these consumers can now view their electric usage history down to 15-minute intervals at http://www.SmartMeterTexas.com. The company has installed an additional 111,000 smart meters which are in the process of being tested.
The Web portal developed and operated by IBM on behalf of CenterPoint Energy and other Texas TDUs, including Oncor and American Electric Power, will serve as a single repository of usage data for customers with smart meters in the service territories of these utilities.
"This is a significant milestone in our smart energy technology strategy," said Kenny Mercado, division senior vice president, Advanced Metering System Deployment for CenterPoint Energy. "Access to near real-time usage data is a major step to help consumers make smart energy decisions.
"Within 60 days of the smart meter installation, following a testing and acceptance period, consumers can register to view their usage down to 15-minute intervals," continued Mercado. "For the first time ever, consumers won't have to wait for their monthly bill to see how much electricity they have consumed. They'll be able to see what time of day, what time of week and what time of year they use the most electricity."
The Smart Meter Texas portal also allows retail electric providers (REPs) to access their smart meter customers' usage information to support retail offerings such as energy analysis tools, time-of-use rates, and pre-paid service. Through the portal, REPs can also connect Home Area Network devices to smart meters that will help customers better manage their electricity use by remotely controlling smart electric appliances and thermostats, which are under development by a number of manufacturers.
Since March 2009, CenterPoint Energy has installed more than 267,000 smart electric meters along with supporting communications infrastructure and computing systems as part of a multi-year plan to deploy more than 2 million smart meters across the company's entire electric service territory in greater Houston. Upon completion of negotiations with the U.S. Department of Energy for a $200 million stimulus grant, the company will accelerate its smart meter deployment from five years to three and begin building a self-healing Intelligent Grid that will utilize smart meters and other technologies to improve operational efficiency and electric reliability.

New Industrial M2M Wireless Products Extend Connectivity to Remote Devices in Harsh Settings
BALLSTON LAKE, N.Y., March 23 -- Sixnet, a global market leader of machine-to-machine (M2M) networking solutions for industrial and commercial markets, today announced the new Sixnet IndustrialPro(TM) Wireless Gateways and Routers at the DistribuTECH 2010 conference in Tampa, Florida. Sixnet's IndustrialPro(TM) Wireless Gateways and Routers provide secure, cost-effective wireless connectivity to remote locations and assets. They can reliably be used as secure, primary WAN connections or as backup to landline connections.
These new rugged wireless products provide cellular connectivity for remote devices such as meters, sensors or RTUs in industrial environments such as power and energy, oil and gas, water/wastewater, transportation and video surveillance, where space may be limited and wired connectivity is not feasible. For many remote sites, cellular solutions can be easier to deploy and more cost effective than landline connections.

cellular connectivity, one Ethernet port, one serial port and support
for either AC or DC power.
-- The Sixnet IndustrialPro(TM) Wireless Router provides 3G or 2G
cellular connectivity, one or five Ethernet ports, one serial port,
and support for either AC or DC power. It delivers full firewall and
routing functionality, supporting IPSec or SSL VPN, Port Forwarding
and support for Network Address Translation (NAT), OSPF and RIP. It
also offers a local web-based management interface.
Both products are managed by Sixnet's SixView(TM) Manager, which enables powerful management, configuration and monitoring of multiple devices from a single console. SixView Manager also allows customers to easily update firmware and make field changes to gateways or routers without having to deploy resources to remote locations or manage individual units, thereby saving time and reducing costs. SixView Manager is used to manage all of Sixnet's M2M wireless solutions, including the recently announced QuicKonnect(TM) Routers, EnterprisePro(TM) Routers, ATM Cellular Gateway and ATM Internet Gateway.
