For ~$89 you get This. I just saw a CompUSA Hard drive (Maxtor rebadged) 80GB for cheap (forgot price ). I want to see a Serial ATA drive.

Overall Samsung has improved on an already great product. This drive is one of the fastest that I have had the pleasure of owning. Price wise, it is one of the cheapest 80 GB 7200 RPM, ata100 hard drives on the market at this moment.

Performance wise, the Hercules 3D Prophet FDX 8500 LE trailed the Gigabyte Radeon 8500 very closely in all tests, except Vulpine's GLmark and DroneZmarK, where performance was particularly sour. Of course, the Leadtek GeForce Ti4600 prevailed as the undisputed leader in every benchmark at every resolution, but this type of performance comes at a price. For around $350 AUD you can pick up the Hercules card, in comparison to the heavy $850 AUD price tag the Leadtek card comes with. Speaking of value, as we have already mentioned the card competes well with the Gigabyte Radeon 8500, which retails for around $500 AUD, making the Hercules 3D Prophet FDX 8500 LE a very cheap card in terms of the performance levels on offer. In summary, quite a feature rich card that happens to not only look good, but actually has the goods.

Currently, if you want to get a DeskNote with an Athlon XP 2000+, 256MB DDR SDRAM, 20GB hard disk drive, an 8x DVD-ROM drive and Windows XP Home Edition, you only pay about S$2388 (S$2188 for an Athlon XP 1700+). The price is really attractive considering the features and performance from the i-Buddie XP. As expected, Microsoft has released a brand-new build of the upcoming Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1 to its lucky testers! Despite other minor improvements, build 2800.1041 also incorporates the security update that has been issued for previous versions of Microsoft's web-browser on May 15.

VR-Zone reviews the KX7-333R from Abit containing all legacy stuff.

ABIT KX7-333R exhibits great stability for FSB above 166Mhz and even over 200Mhz therefore this board is simply an Overclockers' delight and much high FSB overclocking can be done with this board definitely. Best of all, this price of this board is very affordable at just over US$100 for most consumers even for the budget hunters.

When all is said and done, the JoyTech Apollo Bloody Monster II GF4 Ti 4600 is a very solid product out of the box. You get VIVO via S-Video and a complete array of software for both the gamer and the video editor. Performance is right up there with the other GeForce4 Ti 4600s, and overclocking is definitely something this card can do. JoyTech wanted to make sure you got the best overclocking performance with this card, and they certainly didn't disappoint. This card is a good package all around, and should please any PC enthusiast.

Dude, your printer is a Dell!

Dell Computer may be looking for a new way to print money.

Among the options: Dell may launch its own line of printers, buy a printer maker, start a Dell brand of printers made by one of the top printer makers or convince companies to give Dell a slice of their ink business. I don't know about you, but I try and buy out a company when I feel like it too.

1 GHZ Duron vs Celeron. They are almost equal but the Duron has the edge when running PC133. (SDR you say ?)

I wanted this to be a reasonable and if possible useful comparison. A 1 Ghz Celeron against a 1 Ghz Duron at default speeds and maxed out. There would also have to be some matching of hardware to keep the benchmarks from being skewed to much one way or another.

Intel fouls up again in the server market. You would think that the Xeon would be a (much) better Pentium 4, but it isn't.

The Pentium III Xeon 900MHz with 2MB of cache – the so called Cascades processor – easily thrashes a Pentium 4 in a four way configuration but Intel wants the manufacturers to go with the current Xeon.

Xeons with big caches – codenamed Gallatin – are not due to be released until the third or fourth quarter of this year, as exclusively revealed here.

Price cuts and higher bus speed CPUs, it doesn't get any better than this. At least for the MP prob).

AMD will introduce an MP 2100+ we learn at the end of June, but the chip firm is ensuring that new higher speed XPs are "MP locked", so they won't work in dual boards.

Further, we understand, the high speed MPs AMD will introduce will support "much higher" front side bus and memory speeds and the multipliers won't be locked.

When you buy an ECS motherboard, you have to understand that you're getting a board that's extremely cost-effective without sacrificing on stability. However, you have to cut corners somewhere to make a board this affordable and ECS usually chooses to not concentrate on features like overclocking. The K7VTA3 v3.1 falls in the same category. It will be a good motherboard to use as a server for your LAN or maybe a PC for a loved one.

Active-Hardware busts out another review for you based on the Soyo KT333 board.

The Soyo KT333 Dragon Ultra Black is a worthy inheritor of the Dragon Plus legacy. It is an excellent motherboard, with enough features to satisfy even the most stringent power-users. Its excellent response to Overclocking, and remarkable stability are also points in its favour, but for many, its integrated RAID, networking, and USB controllers, coupled with its excellent integrated sound-card, and SPDIF connector will be the major selling-points. The only telling weakness in the Ultra Blacks's design, in fact, is the lack of an option allowing users to manually assign IRQs. Even with that in mind, however, the Ultra Black's many features more than make up for that sore-point. It's for that reason that we've decided awarded the Soyo KT333 Dragon Ultra Black an extra point, in order to award it with our "High Grade Hardware Award".

Ahh, a board to combat the IT7.

As always, AOpen's newest product has lived-up to all ou expectations. The AX4B Max responded very well to our tests, and Overclocked liek a true champion. It's stable, it's versatile, and includes USB and IEEE-1394 ports. In short, the AOpen AX4B Max deserves our recommendations for proving itself to be one of the best Pentium 4 motherboards currently on the market.

Tweakers AU has a socket 478 cooler roundup.

I feel that currently Thermaltake's Volcano 7+ is the best value for money Socket 478 heatsink out of the models tested so far, as it provides excellent performance and can be installed into any Socket A/370 system as well. In terms of fan noise, it was up there with the loudest, but luckily Thermaltake gives you a fan-speed controller for free. Ironically, I felt that Thermaltake's P4 Dragon 478 offered the least bang-for-the-buck, since didn't do much in the way of performance, sounded awfully loud, didn't come with a fan-speed controller, and is rather pricey compared to the other models.
