Retargeting Sales Increase by 18% when Adding Mobile to Mix, New Study Finds

    Key findings in myThings' study: decision making phase in mobile 13x shorter than
desktop, smartphones and tablets both play key role in campaigns

findings of a first-of-its-kind research paper on mobile retargeting. According to the
study, adding mobile retargeting to an advertiser's retargeting mix generates an
additional 18% of sales.

    With its new personalized mobile retargeting solution, myThings is the first company
to offer a complete one-stop-shop for retargeting that includes desktop, Facebook and now

    Key findings:

    Significant revenue channel: Mobile retargeting drove an additional 18% of
retargeting-generated sales, a 46% higher click through rate and a 37% lower eCPC.

    Tablets and smartphones both play key roles in campaign: Breakdown of mobile
conversions had smartphones slightly ahead with 55% vs. 45%; in post click conversions,
the ratio was 53% vs. 47%. Ultimately, smartphones drive sales because of greater reach
(9x more devices according to June 2013 data from Gartner) while enhanced usability and
greater ease to finalize transactions are the main reason behind the tablet's success.

    Fast movers: The mobile consumer acts fast during the decision-making phase. The time
from the last visit to conversion was 13 times faster on mobile than desktop.

    Leisure mode: Unlike desktop, shopping on mobile remains strong over the weekend -
only 6% fewer conversions than weekdays, compared to the desktop's minus 30%. Similarly,
while evening shopping reigns supreme compared to daytime shopping, the trend on mobile
was much stronger than desktop with an increase rate double that of desktop (on tablets,
the rate jumped nearly six-fold).

    Funnel analysis: Tablet and desktop consumers generate similar patterns related to how
deep they browse the site's funnel. The smartphone, however, is significantly different:

       
        - Most smartphone users, 55% vs. ~40% on desktop and tablet, reach product
          page (showrooming could be a possible explanation)
        - 18% of smartphone consumers did not go beyond the home page (compared to ~3%
          on desktop and tablet)

    The study spanned over 100 million impressions across multiple campaigns throughout
November 2013.

DALLAS, Jan. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Instruments (TI) (NASDAQ: TXN) today introduced its next-generation wireless power transfer circuit with foreign object detection that will allow designers to bring to market 3-coil, 5-V and 12-V A6 charging stations compliant with the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) 1.1 specification. The bq500412 controller, which is shipping in volume production, requires half the components compared to other solutions. Giving smartphone users an improved charging experience, the bq500412 integrates all functions required to control wireless power delivery from the charging station to a receiver circuit used in a Qi-enabled smartphone or other device. In addition to 12-V charging pads, the circuit can be combined with a boost converter to create a 3-coil, 5-V USB charging pad, while taking advantage of a Dynamic Power Limit(TM) feature to ensure quality operation independent of the power capability of the port. The bq500412 also supports an enhanced foreign object detection scheme, which makes it easier for designers to implement the requirements of the WPC 1.1 specification.

Newly Remodeled Store Opens Tomorrow, Featuring Top Brands and Interactive Experiences

FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- RadioShack will open the company's second Florida concept store in Largo on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 9 a.m. This RadioShack has been a part of the Pinellas County community since the store opened in its original Clearwater location more than 40 years ago in 1973. The newly relocated store can now be found in the East Bay Plaza in Largo at 5395 East Bay Drive.

    momondo places provides inspiring insight into the best sights, hidden gems, markets,
boutiques, restaurants, cafes, bars and hotels in seven of the world's greatest cities -
Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, London, New York, Paris and Rome.

    Each city guide features more than 200 unique tips, all matched to the app's six
distinct moods - Romantic, Social, Family, Local, Cultural and Fancy.

    Travellers can select a category on the colour wheel [link] and instantly tailor the
guide according to the way they feel or their chosen style of travel.

    In addition to moods, the guides can also be sorted by neighbourhoods and categories.

FlexNoC Composition allows the SoC architecture to be subdivided for implementation by various specialist design teams, each working independently on their own subsystem. First Retailer to Deploy shopkick's iBeacon/BLE Mobile Technology Across the Country

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Jan. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- American Eagle Outfitters and Shopkick, the most widely used real-world shopping app, today announced plans to launch shopBeacon(TM) in 100 top-performing American Eagle Outfitters and Aerie stores across the country. Shopkick's shopBeacon is the first Apple iBeacon-based presence signal for retailers. When this trial goes live next month, it is anticipated to be the most widely deployed trial in the nation.
