Publicis Groupe Acquires Longtuo, Aiming for a Dominant Role in China's Booming e-Commerce Market

Publicis Groupe [EURONEXT Paris: FR0000130577] today announced it has acquired
Beijing-based Longtuo, a digital marketing company with strong eCommerce expertise in
creative, customer acquisition, marketing solutions and measurement tools. Longtuo will be
part of the Groupe-owned Razorfish network and will be named Razorfish Longtuo China.
Founded in 2000, Longtuo employs 200 people throughout its Beijing headquarters and
Shanghai and Guangzhou offices. The addition of Longtuo will more than double the size of
Razorfish in China, which currently employs 130 people and provides e-Commerce services to
clients such as Converse, Hertz, and GM Onstar.
Longtuo serves a prestigious roster of Chinese marketers including 360buy, Kohler,
Masamaso, Taobao (the country's two largest B2C e-Commerce portals) and Yves Rocher.
Longtuo also contracts work for Renault, providing website development and content
management, as well as traffic measurement and analysis.
The acquisition of Longtuo will give Publicis Groupe more commanding clout in China's
booming e-Commerce market, which Forrester projects to be a $94.6 billion business in
2012. eMarketer estimates the market to grow at more than 92% annually for the next three
years and forecasts China will become the world's largest e-Commerce marketplace by 2015.
Longtuo's CEO and founding partner, SU Yi, will become Managing Director of Razorfish
Longtuo China, and will report to Vincent Digonnet, President of Razorfish Asia Pacific
and Executive Chairman of Razorfish Greater China.

HCL Technologies and Consumers Energy Agreement Brings New Technology Center to Michigan
300 New Local Jobs to Be Created with Help from State of Michigan

"Glocal" Center of Excellence (GCoE) called the Michigan Technology Development Center

HCL Technologies and Consumers Energy Agreement Brings New Technology Center to Michigan
300 New Local Jobs to Be Created with Help from State of Michigan
SUNNYVALE, Calif. and JACKSON, Mich., May 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --HCL America, Inc., a wholly owned step-down subsidiary of HCL Technologies Ltd. (HCL), a leading global Information Technology (IT) services provider, and Consumers Energy, the 4th-largest U.S. electric and natural gas company, today announced that the two companies will collaborate on a new "Glocal" Center of Excellence (GCoE) called the Michigan Technology Development Center (MTDC). The Center will be located at the Commonwealth Commerce Center in downtown Jackson, Michigan.
As part of the agreement, HCL expects to hire local technology professionals and create 300 professional technology positions during phase one of the MTDC opening. The MTDC also will be a designated training and development hub for advanced and emerging IT processes, tools and will work with local universities and colleges. The center will also establish a learning academy to train Consumers Energy employees on advanced and emerging technologies, and will be further expanded to accommodate 500 technology professionals in the next few years.
The two companies entered into an agreement with the objective of improving operational excellence through advanced technological operations and processes and provide significant benefits to the mid-Michigan and Jackson economies. The agreement will significantly increase Michigan's IT capacity, while improving employment prospects for IT graduates from Michigan universities and colleges. It will also serve as a leading example of Michigan's new, successful economic policies.
This agreement is the result of the Consumers Energy leadership's vision to embark on a game-changing plan to move its IT department from a technology support role to technology innovators - and will utilize HCL's expertise through its matured processes and highly qualified employees. It will enable Consumers Energy's IT department to leverage HCL's software solutions expertise to manage its existing operations, thereby allowing Consumers Energy's many talented and knowledgeable employees to focus on innovative assignments supporting business excellence for the utility. NEW YORK, May 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon continues to transform its global optical network, setting the stage for the development and delivery of even more powerful and innovative integrated solutions for key industries such as health care, retail and financial services.
The company will build additional control plane technology into its network infrastructure - technology that allows electronic devices on its optical network to more easily communicate with each other, simplifying operations and allowing for near real-time provisioning of specified new circuits.

The control plane initiative enables end-to-end optical transport network functionality and global mesh architecture capabilities. In the first quarter of 2012, AT&T U-verse added 200,000 TV subscribers, and in April, AT&T U-verse passed the 4 million mark in U-verse TV subscribers nationwide.
