Airport among AT&T's largest customer Wi-Fi network locations with service extending to terminals, parking garages and ramp areas
DFW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Texas, April 5, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport today announced it has reached an agreement with AT&T* to provide free Wi-Fi to all visitors at the Airport. The agreement, approved today by the DFW Board of Directors, cites that AT&T will provide free Wi-Fi across DFW's five terminals, totaling more than six million square feet of terminal space. Starting in September, customers will be able to access the complimentary Wi-Fi service by viewing a 30-second advertisement for every 40 minutes of network usage.

The AT&T Wi-Fi network at DFW will include significant upgrades to the Airport's current Wi-Fi network, including faster speeds and a wider coverage area. AT&T Wi-Fi service will expand to include terminals, DFW terminal parking garages and gate accessible areas where travelers will be able to connect safely while boarding and deplaning flights.

The 134-mile Grande Tour Scenic Bikeway leads riders under a scented canopy of Ponderosa pine forests, past stunning views of the Blue Mountains and the Wallowa Mountains and across sweeping sagebrush rangelands near La Grande and Baker City. The bikeway, which covers sections of the original Oregon Trail, offers cycling opportunities for all abilities. TOKYO, April 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Today, a group of major companies involved in smart utility network products and technology announced the creation of the Wi-SUN (Wireless Smart Utility Network) Alliance to support certification and promotion of an interconnect standard for wireless smart grid devices to better communicate from remote locations and with home appliances. The Wi-SUN Alliance is supporting the emerging IEEE 802.15.4g standard for wireless communications of battery-powered equipment, and its supported MAC layer protocol, as a means to ensure the compatibility of low-power smart meters and remote wireless sensor networks. Similar in nature to other industry alliances, the Wi-SUN Alliance is committed to establishing common standards for the global smart grid build-out.
The Wi-SUN Alliance's founding members are Analog Devices, Inc., Fuji Electric Co. Ltd., Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Japan's National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Omron Corp., Osaki Electric Co. Ltd., Renesas Electronics Corporation and Silver Spring Networks, Inc.

The alliance aims to establish test specifications by the summer of 2012.
