NEW YORK, Feb. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- quadrantONE, a joint venture of four major media companies (Tribune Company, Gannett Co., Inc., Hearst Corporation and The New York Times Company) today announced the launch of Q-Exchange, the first private ad exchange focused on premium local audiences. Nintendo 3DS Selling Like Mad

It is no surprise that the Nintendo 3DS is selling very, very well in Japan. It is sold out, period. Stock comes in, it sells out.

According to the reports, 400,000 Nintendo 3DS units were sold since the device's launch on Saturday. A sell-out was expected. Most retail outlets in Japan had their preorders sold out prior to the launch of the portable-gaming device and were already taking orders for the next shipment.

The Nintendo 3DS will be one of the more interesting launches this year, thanks to its unique feature-set. The platform, which went on sale in Japan for 25,000 yen (about $300), allows gamers to play 3D titles without the need for special glasses. It comes with two screens and boasts an accelerometer and gyroscope to give developers a few more options for their video games.

In Japan, 400,000 units sold is just the beginning for Nintendo. The company said last year that it expects to sell 1.5 million 3DS units in Japan alone by the end of March. The European launch is set for March 25. The U.S. launch is scheduled for March 27 with a $249 price tag for the device.

67-Year-Old Alzheimer's Patient Quickly Recovered by NYPD after Wandering More than a Mile from Home in Near-Freezing Temperatures

Robert Campbell was recovered within an hour after his wife, Marilyn, discovered him missing. He was located on Victory Boulevard, more than a mile from his home.         Protection Act (CIPA) is a federal law enacted in 2000 by Congress to

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 28, 2011/PRNewswire/ --Chelsio Communications, a leading provider of 10Gb Ethernet Unified Wire adapters and ASICs, today announced availability of its fourth generation Terminator 4 technology in the first release of a new family of 10Gb Ethernet adapter cards.  The T4 cards are the industry's first Ethernet converged network adapters capable of simultaneously offloading all the major networking and storage protocols (TCP, UDP, iWARP, iSCSI, and FCoE) with Single Root IO Virtualization (SR-IOV).

Ideal for all data, storage and high performance clustering applications, the T4 enables a unified fabric over a single wire by simultaneously running all unmodified IP sockets, Fibre Channel and InfiniBand applications over Ethernet at line rate.  Designed for deployment in virtualized data centers, cloud service installations and high performance computing environments, these Chelsio adapters bring a new level of performance metrics and functional capabilities to the networking space.

Chelsio is announcing seven new adapters based on the T4 ASIC, and additional cards will be rolled out next quarter.  All the new adapters announced today have SR-IOV-enabled PCIe x8 Gen2 host interfaces, and are capable of fully offloading TCP, UDP, iWARP, iSCSI, and FCoE, with EVB/VEPA/VNTag (802.1Qbg, 802.1Qbh) and DCB support.  In addition, all the adapters include unique hardware features, such fine granularity time stamping, tracing, filtering, and traffic management (pacing and rate shaping).  Power consumption ranges from 9-14W.   The cards can operate concurrently in full offload as well as in stateless fashion.

Targeted at Virtualized Clouds, Data Centers, Storage and HPC Applications

Virtualization is driving large increases in server utilization, which means fewer CPU cycles are available for I/O processing.   Along with the extensive offload capabilities of the T4, the embedded switch enables further performance advantages for virtualized environments, switching traffic from up to 140 virtual and physical ports within the T4 adapter.  The T4 supports PCIe SR-IOV (8 Physical Functions, 128 Virtual Functions) with advanced QoS and traffic management functionality, enabling state-of-the-art virtualization design.

The T4 adapters are an ideal solution for cloud installations.  In addition to a feature-rich virtualized card, enabling immediate re-tasking of any installation to any application or workload, the T4 adapters also provide a very high IOPs and messaging rate.  This makes the solution especially suited for Web 2.0 and other applications where a stateless adapter with a very high packet and connection setup and teardown rate is required.

Broadening its support for block storage, Chelsio's T4 adds both partial and full offload of the FCoE protocol as well as full iSCSI offload.  In support of FCoE traffic, the T4 adds the Data Center Bridging (DCB) protocol.  The T4 cards enable a new unified storage interface that allows a single, simple SCSI command interface to the host driver, with a unified management interface.  By simultaneously offloading TCP/IP, iSCSI and FCoE, the T4 enables unified NAS/SAN systems that adapt to and grow with end-customer needs.

For HPC cluster applications, T4 reduces RDMA verbs latency from about seven microseconds in the T3 to about three microseconds, providing similar application performance as InfiniBand at a much lower cost.  Chelsio has also added UDP-offload features to T4, delivering three microsecond application-to-application latency for UDP packets.

The massive new silicon features of T4 enable a slew of middleware possibilities.  Chelsio will initially be introducing a UDP-sockets middleware for low latency applications, followed by several other middleware options later this year.  The feature set also allows customization for adding customer-specific value.

John and his mining team accidently discover an ancient structure hidden deep in an asteroid, thus proving mankind isn't alone in the universe. Industry-leading Airport Surface Management System Now Provides Mechanism to Foster Real-time Stakeholder-to-Stakeholder Communications and CDM

Aerobahn's chat function supports private one-to-one communications as well as broadcast messaging to all Aerobahn users. With Aerobahn's new multi-group chat functionality, users from disparate airport organizations, including airlines, airport owner/operators, gate operators and air navigation service providers (ANSP), now have an efficient and integrated tool for immediate communications in support of Collaborative Decision Making (CDM).

Sensis Aerobahn combines airside operational information, such as flight schedules, with the exact location and identification of aircraft and vehicles on the surface of the airport and surrounding airspace for a real-time, comprehensive view of airport operations. Users can observe departure queues, view actual arrival demand and contrast the demand with available gates for arriving aircraft.  Aerobahn's event alerting capability empowers users to create their own customized filters to more quickly and better identify critical operating conditions and issues such as long on-board delays. All events are recorded for future playback to identify trends, develop new procedures that mitigate delays or similar events in the future and provide justification for process improvements. Aerobahn also provides users with the ability to create their own reports based on numerous variables for detailed analysis of operations.

Chatting on the Aerobahn platform operates similarly to other commercial chat software. Authorized users are provisioned by administrators and all messages are secure and archived for auditing or review during playback. Specific chat groups focused on common issues can be created for targeted communication. Users can drag and drop specific flights and associated data directly into the chat screen to easily highlight flights of interest or those requiring special attention or handling.
