RockWest Technology Implements Integrated Identity Management System for First Responders in El Paso County, Colorado

DENVER, Aug. 11 -- RockWest Technology, a business unit of Identive Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:INVE)(NASDAQ:FSE:)(NASDAQ:INV), today announced the successful implementation of a fully integrated credentialing and identity management system for the City of Colorado Springs, the El Paso County Department of Health and Environment and the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.  Centralized credentialing and asset tracking provides first responder accountability and critical information for emergency management for this eastern Colorado county of more than 600,000 residents and encompasses approximately 2,158 square miles.

"In times of emergency, being able to identify first responders at the scene and quickly assess and deploy resources is critical to saving lives and protecting property," stated Jesse Ortiz, emergency manager for Colorado Springs.  "The unique synergy RockWest created between our credential management system and our personnel accountability and asset tracking systems has provided us with centralized command tools that enable us to react more rapidly and effectively.  RockWest has helped us to develop a model solution that can be adopted by other counties across the country."

The City of Colorado Springs, the El Paso County Department of Health and Environment and the El Paso County Sheriff's Office are all using the new web-based solution to supply card-based ID systems for over 20 county agencies including fire, police, health, sheriff and emergency management.  Each agency independently manages its own identity vetting and issuance of first responder and employee credentials, and the credentials issued by all agencies are interoperable, via the printed barcode, with the accountability and asset management systems that will be launched in 2011. In the future, during an incident, city and county agencies will be able to scan ID credentials and emergency equipment data into the Emergency Incident Management Command system as part of the county's overall accountability initiative.  This will allow the tracking of all county personnel and resources throughout an incident in accordance with the standards set by the National Incident Management System (NIMS).

NTT Com to Enhance Security Services in Northern Europe through Acquisition of Secode AB

TOKYO and SOLNA, Sweden, Aug. 11 -- NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) and Secode AB (Secode), a leading provider of managed-security and security-consulting services in Nordic countries, announced on Aug. 11 a definitive agreement under which NTT Com will acquire all shares of Secode through NTT Communications Deutschland GmbH, its wholly owned subsidiary in Germany. Terms of the deal were not announced.

Following the acquisition, Secode will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary led by Trygve Reinertsen, Secode's current CEO.

The aim is to capitalize on the growing needs for managed-security services among multinational companies, who are increasingly outsourcing security management to professionals due to the difficulties of nurturing qualified engineers and ensuring 24/7 readiness against constantly evolving security threats.

NTT Com will leverage Secode's high-quality managed-security and security-consulting services to strengthen and expand its capabilities to meet the security needs of customers in northern Europe. In addition, it will fold Secode's security operation centers (SOCs) in Sweden and Norway into its existing group of SOCs in Japan, Germany, Singapore and the U.S., the latter three of which were added in October 2009 when NTT Com acquired a majority stake in Integralis AG in Germany.

For Secode, the new arrangement will enable it to deliver services to a wider and more diverse range of companies in NTT Com's large customer base worldwide.

Secode provides managed-security services to financial institutions and public offices in Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. The company offers 24/7 services for intrusion detection and prevention, log management, vulnerability analysis, data-loss prevention, anti-virus and anti-spam, managed VPN/firewall and mobile security. In addition to its two SOCs, it operates support desks in local languages in Finland and the Netherlands. Secode also manages a specialized team for conducting tests and audits, as well as its staff of consultants who offer a wide range of professional security services. Established in 2000, Secode currently has approximately 90 employees.

TOKYO, Aug. 11 -- The 10th Ricoh Photo Contest is being held until August 31, 2010, for photos taken with Ricoh compact digital cameras. The theme for the contest is "My view."

The Ricoh Photo Contest started in 2004 as an activity to promote communication and picture taking through the participation of a wide range of customers who enjoy photography. With this contest, Ricoh is also seeking to develop the Ricoh concept of Candid Photo Culture, the essence of which is to "carry your camera with you and enjoy the photographs lightheartedly taken."

The contest theme of "My view" embodies the message that "By just changing your angle of view, you make the world an infinitely interesting place." From photographers both inside and outside Japan, Ricoh is looking forward to receiving images of diverse subjects photographed with a free sensibility from new perspectives.

Prize winners will be selected by two photographers active in the forefront of the field: Ryo Ohwada and Kazuyuki Okajima.

Photos are submitted via the contest website, and a total of 50 will be chosen as winners, including a grand prize winner. Many prizes will be presented, including a GXR for the Grand Prize winner. Prize winners will be announced in early November 2010 on the website.

The winning photographs will be printed in "poster size" (457 x 560 mm) and displayed at the RING CUBE photo gallery in Tokyo. In addition, the "2011 Ricoh Photo Calendar" will be created using 13 photographs selected from among the winners.

Ricoh hopes that the Photo Contest will serve as an opportunity for people to enjoy photography and make new discoveries. Ricoh looks forward to receiving many entries.

This project provides implementation funding and technical assistance to Instituto Ambiental Brasil Sustentavel, a Brazilian organization that works on projects in support of sustainable development.  The project has created a system that integrates mobile and web-based applications and handheld devices to support business operations and deliver real-time safety information to participating fishermen in Santa Cruz Cabralia.  Fishing is one of the primary economic activities in the region with many families depending on it for their livelihood, but recently, the industry has suffered from over-fishing, lack of investment and old infrastructure.  As a result, incomes have decreased for the local municipality and people, which has led to reduced opportunities and a migration of family members in search of jobs.  This project comes at a time when the fishermen of Santa Cruz Cabralia need to modernize their operations and institutionalize sustainable fishing tactics.  As part of the project, participants have been given mobile devices with mobile credit to access to Vivo's 3G HSUPA wireless network, which enables participants to directly connect from offshore to land with consumers and business partners through both voice and data.  Customized software applications were built to provide them with navigation, weather, marketing, direct sales, data collection and technical support; therefore fishermen have support for their activities with real-time analysis and relevant information.

In addition to the provided devices, training centers have been established in the town of Santa Cruz Cabralia and on a boat which is able to reach and train more remote fishing communities.

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 10 -- Where is health care going? On the go. Millions of Highmark members can now access valuable health and wellness information through the free Highmark Health@Hand iPhone® application.

The Health@Hand iPhone app gives members access to health and wellness features at their fingertips. Since the iPhone is equipped to know exactly where someone is, Highmark members can quickly find nearby participating Highmark medical facilities and health care providers such as hospitals, urgent care facilities, retail clinics and pharmacies. The app also provides interactive health information that allows members to look up information about illnesses, symptoms and medical conditions. A health and wellness section of the app offers health coaching tips and information about health and wellness programs available to Highmark members.

"Mobile phone applications open up an entirely new channel for interaction with our members.
